Question about 2005 Volkswagen New Beetle Convertible
Posted on Nov 16, 2009
Timing chains do not have a mileage interval (never need changed) unless there is a problem with the tensioners or guides. Now if you have a timing belt, the mileage interval for this particular vehicle is 60 thousand (this is per mitchell and alldata) you will need to replace the tensioner along with the belt. Again if it is a CHAIN not a belt you do NOT need to replace the CHAIN.
