The front fan in my caravan went out. How do I determine if it was the motor or the reastat?

All fuses are good. I think it is the motor or the reastat, just don't know which.

You first need to check your fuses, make sure none are blown. The HVAC on this vehilce is computer controlled. Check your fuses, and let me know what you find.

My caravan 2002 heating goes up on idle

To check the fan motor you would use a jumper wire to bypass the relay. You can also swap the relay with another one that has the same configuration.
You may need a wiring diagram to trace the wires.

Blower motor only works in hi , was not working at all replaced fuse and got only hi fan

I assume this is the blower for heating and cooling your cars cabin. If so this same problem occured in my mom's 2003 dodge caravan. The reason why the blower doesn't work is because your blower motor recieves a certain amount of power, this power is then dumbed down by a ceramic resistor. if it doesn't work unless in max or high, that means your resistor is broken. the reason why the max or high setting still works is because it does not require a resistor as it uses full power.

Front blower motor doesn't work. Fuses are good, relays are good. Motor? I only checked the fuse box under the hood, cause that's the only one I can find. . Any other suggestions or things I can try to...

you could have a bad motor (you can connect it directly to the battery to find out) or more likely you have a bad resister block .. not sure on your car but older caravans have that block available by removing the glove compartment .. at any rate its probably under the dash near to and connected to the fan speed selector switch .. different wire wound resisters are selected by the switch to determine fan speed .. if just one resistor is bad then all speeds below that speed will not work .. if the main connections have aged and opened then no speed will work .. the block is sometimes repairable but a new one is not expensive .. ..

The air conditioner front fan went out. HOw do I

it can either be your blwer motor your blower motor resistor or ignition switch. alot of people never think about the ignition switch but it is actually an impotant part in everything it supplies power to just about everything..

2000 Dodge Caravan air conditioner problems

heating and cooling fans are generally one and the same. changing freon doesn't always fix the problem... did you have the system pressure checked for leaks first.

Second determine if the vents are opening properly (switching from heat to cooling) basically when you change to cool it closes air access to the heater core.
