If you have'nt yet replaced the flex hose going to the caliper then it may need to be replaced or unfoald the clamp the hold it to the strut to release the blockage caused by rust build up,if there is no wheel speed picked up by the abs then it does'nt come into play.

When you say you've changed EVERYTHING, you mean brake pads, calipers, and rotors? Did you include the rubber brake hose to the caliper? Many people overlook this as a possible problem, yet it can cause lockups on occasion because the inner liner can collapse and act like a check valve.

Brake pedal goes to the floor only when engine is running.

Hi Alicia, how is your brake fluid?Usually just changing front brake shoes requires no bleeding since the brake line was not open, how were your brakes before you changed the pads,if fluid is low, maybe back wheel cylinders are leaking.Front calibers could be bad,or even master cylinder, need more info.

Locking brake on the rear passenger side!

Its probably the rubber hose that goes between the metal break line and the caliper. That hose is like a 2 way valve that lets fluid into the caliper when brakes are applied and lets fluid back out when brakes are released. These hoses deteriorate and stop letting fluid back out causing the brake to stay tight against rotor.

My mini van 1999 dodge caravan , the front drivers side wheel , breaks squeak while driving but not when i apply breaks the break light comes on intermittently . what could be the problem ?

this is likley to be a sticky piston in the brake caliber,,,stirp the brakes out on both sides of the car and free off the pistons by cleaning them first then pushing them right back into the calibers chace that the caliber is free to slide as well use copper grease on the caliber pins and on the "back" of the brake pads,, check there is plenty of life left in the pads if not fit a new set to "both sides" dont just fix one side do both sides or the car wont stop in a strate line or may pull to one side!

1999 Chevy Tahoe- Soft Brake Pedal

Try having the dealer flush and bleed your system. It is very hard to bleed ABS systems yourself and have safe brakes that still work afterward. Bleeding non-ABS brakes yourself is easy not the same for ABS brakes. Valving, sensors and what-not require a tech and the correct equipment in my opinion. You do it wrong and you could ruin your ABS system. Do that and see if they firm up. I replaced my brake shoes/pads at the same time all new everything in back, drums/springs everything and new rotors up front. then I had the chevy dealer flush, refill and bleed system. Stiffer pedal and brakes work better. Keep in mind the brakes on 99 Tahoes are inaedequate, require new rotors often, heat up and fade/glaze pads regularly. I replace my pads long before they wear down because they glaze up and start fading early. I'll rough em up once maybe, next time, new ones. Every two brake jobs, new rotors for me. Just how it is. They will stiffen a bit and work better but they will never be awesome brakes. Just how it is on 99 and earlier Tahoes. Hope it helps. Very important to bleed correctly though. I'll bleed my 83 Toyota 4x4 myself but not the Tahoe.

78 chevy malibu fron left wheel keeps locking?

sounds likeyou have air in the line. what you can do is bleed your brakes and while you are down there add some moly lube to the pad ends. if it still doesnt work you might have to look at the master cylinder.

Disc brakes replacement

jack the truck up and take the passangers tire off. look behind the rotor you should see 2 bolts holding the caliber on to the rotor. loosen those and take them out. from there you should be able pull up on the caliber this will take the caliber and pads off together. take the pads out of the caliber and install the new ones .

BECAREFUL not to twist or bend the caliber to much or you will bend the brake line.....

once you have installed the new brake pads in the caliber. put the caliber back on the rotor. if they will not fit release the bleader valve to release the pressure. than you should be able to slid the caliber back onto the rotor. once you have done that close the bleader valve. reinstall the 2 bolts to hold the caliber in place. put your tie back one. Follow these steps for the other side.

now once that is done. you might want to blead the front breaks.
what you do is have someone help you. fill the brake resiviour with brake fliud. than start your truck.
Have someone in the cab to press the brake. What you want to do is turn the wheel so you can get to the bleader valve. once you can get to it open it up. have the person in the cab other truck press the brake until you see a steady flow of brake fluid coming out of the caliber. once you see that have the pseron press the brake once more and hold it to the floor.
close the bleader valve.

now do the same thing on the other side. But, make sure you check your resivour fluid first.
This is to make sure you don't have any air in the lines. after you are done with both side put it in gear and hit the brake make sure you stop......... If that works go about half the block down and hit the brake again to make sure you stop......
once you have done that and are comfortable with the way the truck stops than ou are good to go and now know how to change the brakes for future refrence..... be awar the back brakes are diffrent.........
