I have one question first how did you measure the fuel pressure at 45 psi it should be 66 psi .
I would take a good look at the in line fuel filter before I replaced anymore parts .
It should be on the frame rail some ware under the drivers door look for the lines from the pump

Eng light is on ,it cranks hard after eng have been running cranks fine after it have been sitting,put new crank senor in it,new code pack still having the cranking problem only when cranking back to back


Hello, Have your car scanned free at Autozone, Oreillys, or Advance autoparts. The problem may now show a different code and some of the crankshaft sensors are adjustable. I am thinking your timing is overadvanced.

You should also have a starter draw test and battery load test done. When the engine is hot, the compression is at its highest in the cylinders. This means the starter and battery will have the most resistance to overcome. The starter may be weak and the draw test will verify that.

In some ways, this sounds like a vapor lock problem. If the testing does not find anything for the above items, there are a few solenoids on the pollution system used to recover gasoline vapors from the engine. Some of the onboard computers will monitor those solenoids and some do not.
You may have to just change the part recommended for your model and see if it helps.

2002 Oldsmobile Aurora V8-4.0 Replace Crankshaft (Sensors) A and B This car has 2 sensors 1- Raise and support car. 2- Remove the oil filter adaptor. 3- Remove crankshaft sensor electrical connector. For specific CKP sensor identification. 4- Remove the crankshaft sensor retaining bolt. 5-Remove the crankshaft sensor. NOTE= Inspect the CS sensor o-ring for wear or damage, if problem is found replace it also. 6- Lube O-ring with clean engine oil. 7- Install theretaining bolt TIGHTEN to 10 N.m (89lb in) 8-Install the CS sensor electrical connecror. 9- Install oil filtor adaptor. 10- Lower car. 11- Operate engine and inspect Cs sensor for oil leaks 12Perform the CKP system variation learn procedure.

WHERE IS THE CRANK SHAFT SENOR?


The crank sensor is located on the trans. bell housing.Look behind the engine where the tranny bolts to the block and on top of the bell housing just a little off center you will see the sensor which has 2 bolts mounting it in place.It has a 6in length of wire attached to it with a plug on the end.This sensor reads off the flywheel.Hope this helps.

Crank senor


The crank sensor is on the front( bottom) of the engine behind the crank pulley, the pulley will have to be removed to access the sensor. It is the largest pulley directly in front of the oil pan.

weird. usually an intermitent problem like that for are o2 sensor means that your catalytic converter is starting to cause problems but that should only set a code for sensor 2 not both sensors. sorry i cant be more help
