Question about 1986 Ford F 350

Ok thanks so much i thought you could but your right leaving it the same is a much easier idea.
It's not impossible to do but you would need to carefully go over both wiring diagrams and see which wires need to be moved or omitted. In any case, likely it's better to leave your system as it is. Makes replacing one part easier than needing to replace both or disassembling alt to get at integral regulator.
