Question about 1996 Ford Taurus
1996 Ford Taurus will not start. The car has power (Radio, lights, heater, etc...) When I turn the key, the engine tries to start, but never actually gets going. This has happened before, and the mechanic mentioned a "spark coil" coming loose, though I'm not sure if that's the term he used. He only had the car in the shop about 20 minutes last time this happened, which makes me think it might be something I can fix myself. Any suggestions?
Spark coils are located on top center of the engine under hood. wiggle connections and see if there are any loose. If you can not find the coils, follow the spark plug wires back from the spark plug it will lead to the coil. good luck
