Its back near the fuel tank, special tools are needed, I'm sure the parts store will sell you the tools needed. Its not hard, you just need to know how.

check the fuel pressure and volume with a gage and check to specs.it could be a bad tps sensor.if it was a bad injector it would run rough and not feel like its starving for gas.it could be that all the injectors are dirty and need to be cleaned or if too dirty replaced.

it should be taken to identify - stetoskoobiga listening.
This may be the ticking of the fuel system or the ticking of the crankshaft. So it is very difficult to explain.

Can't find gas filter on 96 grand cherokee

What problems are you having? There is only one filter on it, and unless you had very low fuel pressure, changing the filter really doesn't do too much.

GM CARS DON'T USE A FUEL PUMP RESET BUTTON, THEY HAVE AN OIL PRESSURE CONTROLLED FUEL PUMP CUTOFF SWITCH ON THE ENGINE, IF THE CAR HAS NO OIL PRESSURE AND THE KEY WAS ON THE FUEL PUMP SHUTS OFF.
