Yes they probably are. You can buy just the Bosch breakdown fuel pump rather than the entire float assembly. Check with the parts houses online, they're about $125. go to bmw and they're $350.00 Auto parts store down the street: $225. They're long, teal/blue in color and have mulitiple cross/ series compatability

How to install electric fuel pump on Hino 700 dump truck?

Installing an electric fuel pump on a Hino 700 dump truck requires some mechanical knowledge and skill. Here is a general guide on how to install an electric fuel pump:
  1. Gather the necessary tools and equipment: You will need a socket set, screwdrivers, hose clamps, fuel line, electrical connectors, and electrical tape.
  2. Locate the existing fuel pump: The stock fuel pump may be mechanical or electric, depending on the truck's model. Locate the fuel pump and ensure that it is easily accessible.
  3. Disconnect the battery: Before starting any work, disconnect the truck's battery to prevent electrical shock or short-circuiting.
  4. Remove the stock fuel pump: If the truck has a mechanical fuel pump, it needs to be removed. To remove it, disconnect the fuel lines and electrical connections, and unbolt the fuel pump from the engine.
  5. Install the electric fuel pump: Find a suitable location for the electric fuel pump that is close to the fuel tank and away from excessive heat. Mount the pump securely using the supplied mounting brackets.
  6. Connect the fuel lines: Use the appropriate-sized hose clamps to connect the fuel lines to the electric fuel pump. Ensure that the connections are tight and secure to prevent leaks.
  7. Connect the electrical connections: Install the necessary electrical connectors to connect the fuel pump to the truck's electrical system. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and use electrical tape to secure the connections.
  8. Double-check everything: Before starting the truck, double-check all connections, fuel lines, and electrical connections. Ensure that there are no loose or leaking parts.
  9. Reconnect the battery: Once everything has been securely installed and checked, reconnect the truck's battery.
  10. Test the fuel pump: Turn the truck's ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine. Listen for the electric fuel pump to prime and pressurize the fuel lines. If everything sounds normal, start the truck and check for any leaks.

Where is fuel pump relay location 2003 BMW 745 SERIES LI

Hello everyone, please forgive me for the question but i honestly can't seem to find the answer to it. I want to change my fuel pump relay in my 2003 745Li. If I'm not mistaking, the fuel pump relay is located in the trunk next to the battery. I did notice the green cube looking thing (fuel pump relay) in the trunk but there were two of them. Do i need to purchase two fuel pump relays? Any insight would be greatly appreciated. ??

Where is the fuel relay switch on a 2002 saturn L series

You have a fuse / relay box under your hood. My 2002 L100 special edition, 4 cylinder, is located near the battery. You have a relay and a fuse in series. A fuel pump operations check, section 4-3 of the Haynes Saturn L-series 2000 to 2004 manual, you can hear a soft whirring sound for 1 to 2 seconds when you turn the ignition to the ON position. I can confirm mine makes this sound when I do this. Good luck with the fix.

Note, I had a crack in my fuel pump, but I took it to an ex-Saturn dealer 4 or 5 years ago because I did not want to mess with it at the time. They had the part and fixed it in 4 hours, but it also cost me $1000 to replace the fuel pump and install a new fuel filter.

Is there any way to remove petrol from the fuel tank - petrol put in instead of diesel! Tried syphoning but something's there to block tube from entering all the way.

I am not familiar with the 5-series diesel (not sold here) but I would look for the fuel filter. Is it beneath the car below the driver seat? Try disconnecting it and see if the fuel will siphon out through the fuel line. I know it will on a '2004 3-series gasoline. If it won't siphon, you may need to 'hot wire' the fuel pump to pump the fuel out through the fuel line.

Truck wont start, has spark and air just no fuel

While a friend is cranking the motor, give the bottom of the gas tank a couple of bangs in the center with a decent hammer. If it starts, your fuel pump is worn out and needs to be replaced.
