Question about 1992 Ford Bronco

1 Answer

Rear Window Malfunction on my 1993 Eddie Bauer Bronco I have a rear window problem on my 1993 Eddie Bauer Bronco. I rolled my rear window up last night with the rear key switch. Today it will not roll down. The dash switch works for rolling the window up, but will not function to roll it down. A few weeks back when the dow the dash switch malfuctioned in the down mode only, I just operated the window with the key switch foor up and down operation. I had planned to replace the dash switch to restore "up" function, but now the tailgate key switch will not power the window down. The window is currently in the up position, so not sure if I need to open up the back tail gate panel to test the motor. I would appreciate any comments on how best to diagnose and fix this situation. How do I get the window down to check out the gate switch? Wish I had a manual crank mode. Thanks CactusBronco

The dash switch can affect the operation of the rear key switch. 1st thing to do is replace the dash switch and that will prob fix it all.

Its pretty typical for those window motors to burn up. I had to replace the motor and switch in mine. Typically they run $40-$60.

Where is the airbag control module located in a 2008 ford explorer eddie bauer edition

The control module is behind the dash to the left of the radio. Remove the two screws underneath the radio, this will allow the dash panel to snap out. You can now see the module. Open the rear hatch, look to the left panel under side window, you will find the module behind it.

Which fuse controls the radio, speedometer, and also, what would cause the transmission to shift really hard,in a 1993 Ford Bronco?

Transmission problems are nortorious on the Broncos one state change to the E 40 d transmission. I myself converted mine to an old style c6 transmission in my 93 Eddie Bauer and I have never been happier.

1994 bronco eddie bauer. I have no brake lights

I think there are 2 switchs on that brake pedal. You are right tho about the brake switch causing your problem.
If you fix your brake light problem your other problem will be fixed also.. check to see if the wires at the brake pedal switch are energized. I am betting on a ground problem.

My 1990 ford bronco rear window will not go up all the way. it goes down fine but when it starts to roll up it stops halfway up.

Your window fuse, relay or motor may be dying and no longer powerful enough to close your window all the way up. So as not to be repetitive, for the failure of your power driver side window and rear window, review this handy diagnostic article, which identifies the possible causes, from a bad fuse, relay to window motor, etc.:
http://yourhandymanzone.com/Your_Handyman_Zone_How_To_Pages_Vehicle_Car_Zone_Cars_Trucks_Vans_Windshield_Windows_Window_Does_Not_Roll_Up_Down.htm

This should help narrow down your particular cause.

The rear window on my 1988 bronco won't roll up.

no way to do that, but u can disconnect the power wiondow regulator and block it up, but if u take it apart to do that u might as well fix the problem that is keeping it from rolling up.
