If it was serviced by the dealer I'm 100% it was replaced. Your problem might be related to something else than the fuel filter itself. It would be a good idea if you have it scanned for fault codes. From there you can figure out what you're up against with. The fuel filter is cheap and located near the bottom right wheel well.

Bring it to a local VW only shop because they have a scan tool specific
to your car. Shop that works on water cooled VW's only, not VW
aircooled shop. Don't bring it to Autozone, PEP Boy because they will
use a generic scan tool and give you conflicting fault codes. Good Luck
    and thank you.

Missing and no power

Check your fuel pressure. low fuel pressure will make this happen. Replace the fuel filter if it has not been replaced in the last 20,000 miles. If this does not help have the tune up checked as you may have excessive spark plug gap or a bad wire.

Which parts to replace for tuneup @ 100K mile

A 100,000 mile tune up should include spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel filter, if it has one under the frame(some newer cars have an in the tank fuel filter that is usually only changed when the fuel pump dies. Also replace the air filter if it is dirty and has been there over 20,000 miles. Some of the later models have coil on plug design and then there is no wires to replace. check tire pressure and the spare this also improves gas mileage.

My 2001 nissan sentra won't accelerate what you think the problem might be?

I would check the fuel filter. They should be changed every 20,000 miles, also the air filter. It maybe time for a tune up. Is the check engine light on?

2003 GMC Duramax Diesel won't start

I see that you had the injectors replaced 20,000 miles ago. I would still check the oil to make sure it is not overfull. The new injectors could be bad. If the oil level is not overfull then get a paper towel and touch the dip stick tip on the paper towel while oil is on the dip stick. If it's only oil it will not spread. If it has diesel in the oil the oil with spread. If this test doesn't show the injectors to be bad then you have three other possibilities. The FICM (fuel injection control module), the fuel pressure regulator, or the injection pump. It's hard to pinpoint what the problem is without running more tests and the only way to run those tests is with the computer the dealership has. Just so you know your injectors are still under warranty until 100,000 miles. Most likely you will have to take it to the dealership to get you truck fixed. I hope this helps you some.
