Looks like a security key problem. I would check all your fuses and if they are all good i would replace the ignition key, you will have to have the key programmed. some good locksmiths can do this or you'll have to go to the dealer

1993 Delta88 turn over won't run and no sparks

Someone will have to troubleshoot the ignition system, and you may need a shop manual to get the diagrams and steps.
You need to know if the module is getting power and a signal from the computer.

I have a 1998 1500 chevrlet pickup that cranks and will not start but when releasing the key from the crank mode sounds like the engine fires off for a moment

Sounds like it could be the ignition module. How you check for this problem depends on what type of system that you have. Does the engine have a distributor? If it does, then disconnect the coil wire if it has one and install a spark tester which is available at most part stores. If it does not have a coil wire then find the tach terminal located on the distributor and connect a test light between that terminal and ground. The spark tester should spark while cranking and the test light should blink while cranking. If they don't, then replace the ignition module. The spark tester can also be used on one of the spark plug wires for distributorless ignition systems.

Engine stalls driving down the road or on take off. Had code 42. electronic spark tining. E S T circiut fault. Cleared codes and installed a fuel pressure gauge. On test drive the motor, (3.1 EFI) still...

Trouble Code 42 indicates that there may be a malfunction in the Electronic Spark Timing (EST) system. During cranking, the timing is controlled by the ignition module and the ECM grounds the EST line. It expects to see no activity on this line at this time. When the ECM enters EST mode, it applies +5 volts to the BYPASS line and expects to see voltage variations on the EST line.
Reasons for the ECM to set Code 42:
1. System in BYPASS mode (i.e. EST line supposedly grounded) but activity sensed on EST line
2. System in EST mode (i.e. BYPASS line driven with +5 volts) but no activity seen on the EST line

Possible causes include:
1. BYPASS line is open or grounded
2. EST line is open or grounded
3. Poor connections between ignition module and ECM
4. Poor routing of EST harness and/or poor quality ignition wires (EMI induced electrical noise
5. Faulty or incorrect ignition module
6. Faulty ECM
7. Faulty Pick Up Coil
8. Faulty Ignition Control Module
9. Faulty Crank Sensor or the Crank Sensor magnet probe could be cracked

Wont start and getting no spark

If the charging system is not putting out the required voltage, is it the alternator or the regulator? Full fielding the alternator to bypass the regulator should tell you if it is working correctly. Or, take the alternator to a parts store and have it bench tested. If the charging voltage goes up when the regulator is bypassed, the problem is the regulator (or the engine computer in the case of computer-regulated systems). If there is no change in output voltage, the alternator is the culprit.

When the engine cranks normally but won't start, you need to check ignition, fuel and compression. Ignition is easy enough to check with a spark tester or by positioning a plug wire near a good ground. No spark? The most likely causes would be a failed ignition module, distributor pickup or crankshaft position (CKP) sensor.

A tool such as an Ignition System Simulator can speed the diagnosis by quickly telling you if the ignition module and coil are capable of producing a spark with a simulated timing input signal. If the simulated signal generates a spark, the problem is a bad distributor pickup or crankshaft position sensor. No spark would point to a bad module or coil. Measuring ignition coil primary and secondary resistance can rule out that component as the culprit.

How to replace cam possition sensor 3.8L vin3

it is most likely your crank sensor, it sends signals to engine module to give spark, make sure security system light is not on, the crank sensor sits on the main crank pulley, you may have to remove pulley to replace it, google instructions...

CHECK BATTERY VOLTAGE FIRST IT SHOULD BE 12.5 VOLTS.IF NOT REPLACE BATTERY HAVE ALTERNATOR CHECKED.IF BATTERY GOOD.HAVE VECHICLE SCAN FOR PCM PROBLEMS - CRANKSHAFT SENSOR PROBLEMS OR CAMSHAFT SENSOR PROBLEMS.IF ALL IS GOOD GET A SPARK TESTER AND FUEL PUMP PRESSURE GAUGE TESTER.IF GETTING NO SPARK PROBLEM COULD BE LOOSE BAT.POWER SUPPLY WIRES AT IGNITION COIL MODULE OR IGNITION MODULE FAULTY.IF FUEL PUMP NOT RUNNING CHECK FUSE ABD RELAY IF BOTH IS GOOD FUEL PUMP FAULTY.
