Question about 1996 Chevrolet Cavalier
I have a cav convertible and the passenger side rear mirror keeps popping off. The only thing keeping it attached is the automatic power mirror control cable. Now there it is just dangling down. The spring clip is very tight and too tight to pull our to hook back in the piece that holds the mirror one the door. This has happened b4 and someone used a vice grip with needle nose pliers and some muscles to put it back on. It was difficult. Is there a better way to fix this?
I don't think it will stay. Something has to be broken. Probably need to replace mirror

SOURCE: no power on front passenger door
Check the connections between the door and the body, not the panel on the door. If a wire was pinched between the door and body that could be the problem. There should be a boot between door and body, peal that back and look for damaged or grounded wires. Repair as necessary.

lock rods inside the door need to be attached and with exterior door handle broken, it will need to be replaced first. so the assembly will be complete
