Question about 2006 Chevrolet Colorado

1 Answer

In my truck. I seem to have no control over the temperature of the air that is coming out of my vents. I can control which vent the air is coming out of, but no mater what temp setting i put it on, the air is just as hot as it could possibly be.

Noise coming from right vent in a 2005 toyota camary

if you mean the interior air vent ther may be something trapped in the vent a leaf perhaps? i think there is a interior temp sensor for the auto climate control system in one or the other vents which includes a aspirator motor to sample the air temperature, the motor can go noisy this is poss what you are hearing if its in only in one vent sounds like the prob but if its all vents you may have a leaf or something has got in and is trapped in the fan housing hope this is helpfull.

The air is warm coming out of the passenger side vents and cool out of the driver side vents,But the temperature button won't increase the temperature. Seems stuck on Max Cold

it's dead, jim. time for a troubleshoot and repair. These toyotas are notorious for climate control problems. Either your control panel is broken, or the electronic air blend motor is broken, or some plastic in between. 25315509-zejmo41uy3tce5x43qikgza0-5-0.gif

is this a new problem or just a new car?
tell what you expect?
no car has perfect venting and never will.

is the problem, temperature lever set to cold
but i get hot air?
yes, then the temperature control is broken
to see why, read the manual, RTM
each car make and models and years, vary.
but there are 3 types.
some use a simple cable, and can just come loose
its all in the FSM.
or
at alldata dot com, its all there.

Automatic temperature control problem. when driving, the air flow inside the car changes to the defrost outlets when accelerating - if I release the accelerator pedal, the air will return to come from the...

You have a vacuum loss somewhere in the cabin area or a bad vacuum motor that operates the air flow door to all the vented areas in the cabin area.

Air blend doors do not work. Air blows from defroster vents

check or loss of vacuum to mode control switch in dash ac control. these are not blend doors, they are air flow control, a blend door controls the air temperature not where it comes out.

This car has the automatic temperature control system

The hot/cold switch is probably bad.you have a blend door box that opens to let the cold air in and closes to let the hot air in.From what you are saying this part is no responding to the switch movement.Make sure power is at the switch and power should go through the switch when put on cold air this moves the blend door. Some times the blend door goes bad and has to be replaced its under the dash on the right side.
