found the culprit on my own vehicle .... it was the ignition switch not staying on the on position... when i started the vehicle the warning buzzer would not sound off and that was because the ignition was moving inside the casing and would not go to the on position and stay so the car would not stay running or would stall afterbeing turned on.... i could not say that this is a common problem for these vehicles but i would say that if anyone has a starting problem with their passport to check or toggle with the ignition and to listen for the warning buzzer and then try to start it again it should stay on...gl walter

SOURCE: honda passport ran out of gas. now won't start.

It's possible that you have an air bubble in the fuel line. This blocks fuel from reaching the engine. To clear it, you will have to bleed the line at the fuel filter.

The other possibility is that the fuel pump is not working. Turn the ignition key to the on position. You should be able to hear the fuel pump humming. If not, check the fuel pump fuse, in the fusebox under the hood. If the fuse is ok, you will need to trouble-shoot the pump.

SOURCE: fanbelt diagram for 98 honda passport

Check carefully under the hood. There should be a sticker under the hood in the engine compartment with a diagram of the belt routing. If you can't find it, check your owners manual (if u still have it), if all this fails, ask where u purchased the new belt, they would have access to that info. Good luck!

SOURCE: i need a diagram of how to put transmission in 98 honda passport

If you have an automatic transmission, you should take it to a mechanic or at least purchase the special fluid temperature gauge needed to do it right. You add fluid through the overfill screw opening found on the transmission fluid pan (there is no dipstick or underhood component on the 96' and later models). It should be located in one corner of the pan; there's also a drain plug is more toward the middle. Never open the overfill screw with the engine stopped - it should always be running and warm.

For a manual transmission, the fill plug is also on the pan, but it is located on the side.

REAR WIPERS DON'T WORK ON 98 HONDA PASSPORT

Check to see if you can see or hear the rear wiper motor running.
If the motor is running you can tighten the bolt, look under the wiper arm pivot point .
If the motor in not running, look under the dash on the drivers side for a blown fuse or bad wiper motor relay.
Hope this helps.
