Question about 1999 Mitsubishi Eclipse
I just had the same problem' I hate to say.... but it's the PCM under the hood on the drivers side. It manages the voltage of the charging system circuit internally, and originally I thought it was the alternator B/C it was putting out around 20V. The only good news is that I found out finally that the motor (2.0L 4Cyl non turbo) was Chrysler/Dodge common and will swap out with the Sebring - Avenger - Neon 4Cyl motors from '98 to '99. These motors are very specific to this PCM so check your facts first but I finally got it from Orielly's Auto Parts store w/ 3 day ground shipping for around $150.00.... Good Luck
