Question about 2000 Hyundai Accent
Dear Cranks But No Cough.........this sure sounds to me like ya have a timing issue.....or lack thereof....these vehicles have timing belts....and unfortuneately also called interference motors.....meaning when the tbelt fails if there are a couple open valves then the piston decides to eat them if luck is not on your side......the easiest thing you can do to tell is go to the rightfront side of the car and pull back your timing cover so you can peek in there at your tbelt.....have someone crank the vehicle over.....if yout camshaft is moving then your belt is still attached....if it's not.......then it's time to get out your pocketbook....that means ya blew a belt.......that a little intrusive of a repair...but not to bad tho......please get back to me.....HOPE I HELPED!!!!!
