Sure U-Haul won't rent it to you if you can't use it. Rember the loaded trailor needs wheigh half as much as the loaded Freestar to be safe and you always need to be careful towing, and slow down and stop every 100 miles or so and look everything over and let the car rest a few minutes turned off.

What is themaximum towing capacity of a 2010 toyota rav4 4 cyl?

depends on the engine capacity but 2.2ltr is 750 kgs un-braked (6x4 box trailer fully loaded) and 1000 kgs braked (10ft caravan)
remember that there is a regulation that you cannot tow more gross mass that what the vehicle weighs unless it is a brake controlled system ( electric brakes working of the foot brake)

Towing capacity

This is just a personal opinion after working on GM trucks for 27 years, but I wouldn't tow anything bigger than a 6 foot trailer with a small lawn mower with a 1/2 ton v-6. They are just not built for it.

How should I prepare my durango to pull a 24 foot travel trailer...what class of hitch, do I need in-board electric trailer brake controls, etc.?

Hi Frank,
I have a Durango 2000 and pull a 24 foot ski boot loaded with equipment. I don't know about you, but I wouldn't try towing anything without the trailer brakes connected. I purchased the Titan Trailer brakes setup and they've never failed me once. The hitch: just make sure you get the right towing capacity for your travel trailer. I have the 5.9 liter engine, which allows up to 6500 pounds of towing capacity. Your owners guide will explain how many based on engine size.
Good Luck, and happy traveling.

How many cylinders does my 1999 honda oddyssey have? We are looking to buy a 18 foot travel trailer for camping and want to make sure our 1999 Honday Oddyssey will be able to pull it. Thank you!

It should be a 3.5 liter V-6 cylinder (Six) Your owners manual should say what it can handle. Or, ...many trailer sales sites can look up your vehicle and tell you what it is capable of towing.

What is the to capacity of a 2006 kia sportage i don't have the owner's manual and want to tow a trailer

Most cars are about 1/2 ton capacity(1000 pounds) Towing a small trailer should be fine as long as the weight at the hitch ball is less than 200 pounds. Load the trailer so the most of the weight is on the trailer not your car.Remember to keep the tire pressure correct on the trailer and your car and give yourself plenty of stopping space as the car will respond slower with the extra weight. Also try to take off kind of slow and easy so you dont over work your cars transmission. An add on type auxillery transmission cooler is recommended.
I hope this info helps you.
