HELLO THERE
fIrst you will need to take off the center section on the steeringwheel usually it is clipped into place it also may have 2 screws on the back side of the steering wheel. once this is done
using a flat tip screwdriver lightly pry up from one side of the center piece and lift the section out now you should be able to see or axcess the horn button simply remove the holding screws and remove the horn button install the new piece and screw into place and replace the steering wheel center piece and make sure that it clips into
place and test ok?
best regards michael

2002 impala horn goes off by itself

Highly suspicious the problem is in your horn button.
And that might be on your steering wheel.
And that is where your Air Bag is. And that might mean you have air bag/horn button problems !!!!
Check with some good junk yards or body shops and see if you can find out how to change the horn button/air bag.
I just learned how 2 weeks ago, and it was really easy.
In my town, good used airbag/horn buttons go for $ 25.
Be blessed.

When i blow the horn in my 2004 chevrolet impala it sounds really low u can barely hear it

Either horn is shot or you have high resistance in the circuit. Look for rotted terminals by the horn.

Horn sounds weak worked fine yesterday

THE HORNS ARE UNDER THE RIGHT FRONT HEADLAMP HOUSING. REMOVE THE HEADLAMP AND THE HORNS ARE EASIER TO REMOVE. GM HAS A GUARD YOU CAN INSTALL ON THE HORNS TO PREVENT WATER FROM ENTERING THEM.

does the relay energize when you push the horn button or ring
take the horn out and test it to the battery using a couple of test leads/alligator clips
you have a bad horn, or a bad switch, or a bad connection

most the time on the billet steering wheels you have to put a push button horn. if you ran a wire through column it would spin wire and eventually break it..
