SOURCE: SNSR Fuse allways short when i put the key at

hi i have 1998 hyundai accent with 185kms- which won't start, it became unpredictable...
sometimes it starts sometimes it won't. i have to wait for sometime like 20 mins or so and then it will start on it's own there are no concerns,,,,i took it the dealer and they said it could be cranftshaft position sensor , but they don't know really ....seems from there views and mixed reactions . ...they want to start by replacing the crankshaft sensor and then dealer want to replace the fuel pumps and so's going to be really costly for me....and good for them ....cuz initally for replacing crankshaft sensor will be $250(including labour and what not) ...if not solved then fuel pumps ...i brought the care back for now's running but no piece of mind...don't know when it will stop ....never had such a issues with this car.....its being a really good car.....every service as per manufacture were done on time .......any help will be great....thanks

Check engine light came on

What do you mean "can't find code"? If the check engine light is on, there is a fault code stored in your onboard computer - that's the way it works. If you are using a generic OBD code reader, that is most likely the reason you cannot find any codes. You need to use a scanner that has the correct software to access your ENTIRE computer network, not just the "continuous memory" or "generic" side of your computer system.

The window problem is a seperate problem and must be diagnosed accordingly.

2003 tiburon keeps blown headlight fuse the second you put it in

Unplug the drivers side headlamp. Install a fuse and see if it blows. If it doesn't replace the headlamp. If it does you will need to start tearing into the harness to find the shorted wire. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using!

So my buddy and i changed my battery in my 2003 hyundai tiburon and hey hooked the cables up wrong and the horn and the wippers went off so i switched them back and tried to start the car and it would turn...

Leave the battery disconnected for an hour.

In the meantime, go into the fuse panels and search the fuses and verify none are blown.
After an hour, make sure you CORRECTLY hook the battery up again and then see if that dont start it...

2004 Tiburon: where is the 04 hyundai tiburon 2nd fuse box?...

Hi There,

You will find the second fuse box on the right hand side of the steering wheel (australian - left hand side if in america) located underneath the power "mirrors" button. Follow the side power "mirrors" button down until you reach a false wall, unfasten this. another word for this is the "fascia"

Hope this helps

Radio not working

It is the fuse inside that yellow fuse holder on the lower left side that is bad. Not the one that says audio that is the problem you can not see the fuse but it is in that yellow holder.

SNSR Fuse allways short when i put the key at On...or try to start the engine... 2.0l Standard

Hi there,

You don't actually mention whether your engine STARTS?

The SNSR fuse covers the following components:

- Oxygen (HO2) Sensor
- Camshaft position sensor
- Crankshaft position sensor
- Idle Speed Con Actuator

So, there is obviously a problem in one (or more) of these circuits.

Due to the new type OBII Diagnostics on the Tiburon, you will need to take the vehicle to your nearest Hyundai Service dealer and have your CODES scanned from your vehicle's computer. This will determine where the actual fault/s are.

However, if you're technically inclined, I can show you one possible way to 'manually' extract the diagnostic codes from your vehicle's computer, by accessing the Data Connector under the dashboard (above either driver or passenger knee).

The data connector looks something like this:

Let me know if you'd like to try and solve yourself, and I'll provide you with further instructions.
