Review the wire connections, maybe any bad plug connection, a bad connection, a bare wire or insulation failure. Definitly this is an electrical problem.

Hi.

The sensors work like switches that can open and close. Even a blown sensor that is shorting inside all the time won't be enough to blow a fuse.

If the fuse is blowing there is a contact elsewhere on wiring.

The first place where to check the the back side of the fuse plate, where you have fuse placeholders soldering joints.

It would be interesting to know what fuse number is blowing.

Regards.

The fuse is blowing, most likely because of something else in the same circuit, find out what else is not working on the car, what all is not working. Is the car not starting?

O k,find the relay for the fuel pump, and remove it,then see if the fuse blows, find the idle air control, and unplug it,to see if the fuse will blow.Let me know something.

It is the same thing, just a different name,I am thinking it is something in that order causing the short,a motor of some kind.Pull other fuses, but not the ones that keep it from turning the starter turn the engine, try them one at a time, pull one fuse, and then see if the fuse that is blowing will stay unblown, and then go to the next one.Try unplugging the alternator also.

The alternator can do this if it has a dead short in it,anything that draws a lot of amps.

T c m,and e c m,are transmission computer, and the electronic control module(computer) The fuel pump a lot of times,is on these circuits,so disconnect the fuel pump, and see if that fuse blows again.

2003 tiburon keeps blown headlight fuse the second you put it in

Unplug the drivers side headlamp. Install a fuse and see if it blows. If it doesn't replace the headlamp. If it does you will need to start tearing into the harness to find the shorted wire. Let me know if you have any questions and I'll do my best to answer them. Thank you for using FixYa.com!

So my buddy and i changed my battery in my 2003 hyundai tiburon and hey hooked the cables up wrong and the horn and the wippers went off so i switched them back and tried to start the car and it would turn...

Leave the battery disconnected for an hour.

In the meantime, go into the fuse panels and search the fuses and verify none are blown.
After an hour, make sure you CORRECTLY hook the battery up again and then see if that dont start it...

Hello Kimberly 210,

I looked up your ignition to assure MYSELF your
key ... is indeed a standard TRANSPONDER.
(no idea what country we are talking about...??)

That type of response SEEMS to be a SECURITY
response... As though ONE of your keys is in trouble...

(TRANSPONDER KEYS can be damaged & intermittent) ...

My best advice is to get on eBay and find yourself
a COUPLE of NEW uncut OEM key replacements...

Shop around and find out if you have a cooperating
locksmith who will cut and code the keys for you...

The BEST price I've paid was $6 per key cut...
The worst was $60..
(they ruined my OEM key and sold me a generic
(I felt it was deliberate.. my OPINION)).

IN ANY CASE: If you wait until the key goes bad a DEALER CAN GET (page 120, 3-10 owners manual)
from $300 to $600 for full key service AND that
IS NOT INCLUDING the tow charges.

Some cars allow you (the owner (nothing found))
to code the keys yourself...

but you CANNOT do it WITHOUT at least TWO (2)
WORKING KEYS...

Sorry... I don't know TIBURON specifics

SNSR Fuse allways short when i put the key at On...or try to start the engine... 2.0l Standard

Hi there,

You don't actually mention whether your engine STARTS?

The SNSR fuse covers the following components:

- Oxygen (HO2) Sensor
- Camshaft position sensor
- Crankshaft position sensor
- Idle Speed Con Actuator

So, there is obviously a problem in one (or more) of these circuits.

Due to the new type OBII Diagnostics on the Tiburon, you will need to take the vehicle to your nearest Hyundai Service dealer and have your CODES scanned from your vehicle's computer. This will determine where the actual fault/s are.

However, if you're technically inclined, I can show you one possible way to 'manually' extract the diagnostic codes from your vehicle's computer, by accessing the Data Connector under the dashboard (above either driver or passenger knee).

The data connector looks something like this:

Let me know if you'd like to try and solve yourself, and I'll provide you with further instructions.

Cheers,

Scott

Hyundai Tiburon Won't Start

Possibly the alarm cut-off switch? or Ignition key switch (or wires) going bad?

But you mentioned you tried to jump start it and it did turn over?
IF so, you could have severe corrosion or loose connections of the battery cable both at the battery and at the termination points, such as ground and starter motor.
Check that the battery wires are tight and clean at the battery posts and at the other end.

Again the No lights suggests either the alarm cut-off, or an absolute disconnected battery cable.

Finally, it could be ignition fuse, Check fuses. Ignition key switch.

What makes this hard is that you suggest it would turn over with another battery connected. This makes no sense.

Good luck
