Question about 1999 Ford Windstar
Dear Rockin Alternator........The alternator having an occasional noise? Like either a bearing growl or brush whine? It's very feasibly for this kinda noise to come and go.....it'll start doin it more often when it decides to fail completely on you....don't wait till then. What happens is there's a sealed bearing on these alternators that never gets serviced....obviously...and when the little bit of road **** or water falls victim to being sucked in every now and then that causes bearing failure over time. It doesn't really take a whole lot at all...also be sure to check your belt and tensioner when ya replace this alternator......unless you feel like doin twice the amount of work...... I HOPE I COULD HELP!!!
