The trans dip stick is usually against fire wall passenger side. It has a yellow handle on it.

Where do I add Transmission fluid on a 95 ford Probe??

So you know, I am not insulting you. I don't know what you know or what you don't know. From your symptoms, I'm confused. If you pulled the trani pan down and the trani dip-stick still read "Full", you pulled the wrong dip-stick. Your transmission takes Mercon and you will need a narrow funnel that will fit inside the trani dip-stick tube. Follow the dip-stick tube all the way to the bottom and verify that it goes to the transmission. When you pulled the trani pan down you should have four or more quarts empty into your drain-pan. Until you can confirm that the the trani is properly filled, don't continue to use the car. Running the engine while the trani is empty can damage internal componants. If you have any questions, please write back, good luck.

I was asked by my boss, if i knew how to add transmission oil to his 01 ls lincon

For a 2002 Ls, checking the trany fluid must be done on a lift, theres a level checking and also adding plug on the bottom of the trany, even to add fluid you will need a pump to pump fluid into bottom of the trany pan, theres no dip stick on these cars, and car must be level. you can try doing this on the ground , you will see the plug on the trany pan, you remove the allen screw, size 3/16 allen key, and fluid should drain out, you should see a stream and that means its full, heres a few diagrams of the trany check plug, good day,johnjohn2_121.gifjohnjohn2_122.gifjohnjohn2_123.gif

How do I check the transmission fluid on my 2009 F-150? Where is the dip stick?

This depends on what trany is in that truck, one has a dip stick tube with a normal dip stick to check the level and then the other trany has no dipstick theres a plug on the side of the trany where the tube would go , the plug need to be removed and to add fluid you would need a pump and small hose to pump it in, also these tranys take a certain type of fluid so check with your local dealer , the wrong fluid will damage the trany, the plug you remove will have a small stick on it to measure the level, when checking the level you dont put plug all the way in only the stick part goes in. here are a few diagram to show you the plug location and the stick to check level. hope this helps, be careful the plug is near exhaust and truck must be at operating temp and truck on level ground to check the level. good luck, hope this helps.johnjohn2_2.pngjohnjohn2_3.pngjohnjohn2_4.png

I have a 97 Honda Passport,how do u check the transmission fluid?

Okay, this truck doesnt have a normal dip stick to check the fluid in trany,to check the trany fluid level engine must be warm and parked on level ground, being on level ground is important!, next start engine and move slector through all gears and ending in park, put ebrake on and let engine idle, then remove the check plug from the bottom of trany pan, note theres a drain plug and the level plug heres a diagram to help you locate the right plug, remove the plug with engine idling and the fluid should leak out, the fluid will stop when level is correct if the plug is removed and no fluid leaks out then add some until it drips out level hole.johnjohn2_50.gif

Where do you put transmission fluid in 1988 honda accord

If this is a manual trany you need to fill from under the car on the side of the case, if your car has an automatic trany then open the hood and look at the left side of trany it will be behind the radiator fan on the trany way down you will see a dip stick this is where you check the level and fill or add fluid, you add into the same hole as the dip stick goes into, when checking the level of the trany oil make sure the car is on level ground and engine is warm, the dip stick unscrews to remove and when checking the level just put back in hole dont screw down to check level, then remove and it just read near full, if between add and full thats okay, if at add then add a pint go through gear and recheck.

How to check and add transmission fluid in a 2001 nissan frontier

Im guessing this is an automatic, theres a trany dipstick, engine should be at operating temp and the truck level remove the dip stick and wipe clean then reinsert and pull out the fluid should be in the hass maxs. if this truck is manual trans then the trany is checked from under the truck, remove the fill plug on the side of the trany and fill unttil oil runs out the fill hole. hope this helps.

Transmission dipstick location

the dip stick is located in engine compartment if you stand in front of car with hood open the dip stick is to your left on side of trany, if this car is stick shift and not automatic then theres no dip stick its checked from side of trany by removing a plug and fill until oil runs out a little a lift would be the way to check it, the car must be level
NOTE; some models have a tube with dip stick and some a cap that unscrews on top of trany and when checking fluid you dont screw in just stick in hole to check level when done then screw back in and tighten, heres a diagram to help you find it.c083006.gif

How does one check the transmission fluid in this vehicle?

All the information is in the owners manual. The van needs to be on level ground. The trani fluid should be at operating temp. and either in park or neutral. With the van running, pull the dip-stick, wipe it off, stick it back in, pull it out again and look at where the fluid level is in reference to the full and add lines.
The type of fluid that needs to be added to the trani will be stamped into the dip-stick. If you don't see it then open the owners manual. Don't guess, it isn't just ATF any more.

Where's my dip stick?

theres no dip stick ,there are to plugs on trany one on the bottom to drain and one on the side, remove the side one oil is full when it starts to flow out,but caution dont star removing bolts unless your sure could cause trany damage on some tranys,go to a oil and lube shop have them lift truck and check takes 5 to 10 minutes, good luck.

How to fill transmission fluid in a 2006 pontiac G6 Gt

There should be a screw on the front of the trani near the coolant lines. With the engine off you unscrew the filler cap. That's on top of the trani on the driver's side. It has a little gear in fluid symbol on it. Then you take out the screw on the front and fill until fluid comes through the hole left by the screw. Remember to use Dex VI.
