I LIKE TO KNOW WHERE THE GAS FILTER IS LACATED

If you have a gas engine in your Dodge, then the fuel filter is located inside the fuel tank and is a part of the fuel pump module. In theory it is a lifetime filter but should it need replacement the fuel tank would need to be lowered/removed and the pump module replaced. I don't believe you can buy the filter seperately but think it is a part of the fuel pump module. Hope this helps!

Fuel pump needs to be replaces on 2000 Chevrolet suburban, do I also need a new filter, relay and induction?

Do you know for sure that the fuel pump failed or do you have a bad relay? If the fuel pump relay is good no you don't need to replace it. The fuel pump unit comes with the sending unit and a sock filter. I would replace the inline fuel filter when you replace the pump. In line fuel filters need to be replaced every 36000 miles. If that filter starts to plug up it makes the pump work harder which leads to premature failure.

I have a ford 1988 f250 truck 8 cylander 5.0 engine. I replaced the fuel filter but there is another filter between the fuel filter and the fuel tank. What is that filter for and do I have to replace it?...

Hi Trinity, that black plastic housing is the switching valve for the fuel tanks and sometimes they do have a filter in them . In order to diagnose the true problem you need to run the truck until it shuts down and then see if you have fuel and pressure at the fuel rail on the engine,if you do then, you need to check for ignition spark at the spark plugs if no spark check for voltage at the ignition coil then repair as needed

I need to replace my fuel filter. need to know where it is and what i need to do to access it.

Hi,

Regarding Fuel Filter - Under vehicle, driver side, below seating area, front of fuel tank, mounted on chassis in fuel line.

A device located in the fuel line to remove impurities from the fuel before it enters the carburetor or injector system.

INSPECTION

Fuel filters can be located in a fuel line, in the tank, in a carburetor, or in any combination of these. A carburetor often has a filter behind the fitting at its fuel inlet.

REPLACE

Fuel filters and elements are serviced by replacement only. Some vehicle manufacturers recommend fuel filter replacement at 30,000 miles (48,000 km). Always replace the fuel filter at the vehicle manufacturer's recommended mileage.
The fuel filter replacement procedure varies depending on the make and year of the vehicle and the type of fuel system. Always follow the filter replacement procedure in the appropriate service manual. The photo sequence below shows a typical procedure for relieving fuel pressure and removing a fuel filter.

Fuel pump or filter

As a general rule , filters should be replaced once a year. If in doubt replace the filter, it probably needs it anyhow. the pump can be scoped and the pressure tested and the general health determined.

Fuel filter replacement

look over rear end it is by the gas tank .you need to spray the fittings with wd40 or P B blaster it works alot better than wd40 to help loosen the fittings start by pulling fuel relay under hood in fuse box start car this will relive fuel pressure you will need 2-15mm line wrenchs for one end of filter the other you squeeze the fitting and pull out filter
