Question about 2000 Honda Odyssey

1 Answer

2000 Honda odyssey little or no heat.

I have changed the thermastat as I thought that may be the problem. But still have little heat. All hoses seem warm. What am I missing radiator and over flow are full. I hear a gurgle sound but can not seem to find any low fluids. Sometimes the heat works just fine though. The heat control knob seems to work when you turn it the valve on the hose in the engine compartment moves with it. Help and thanks Chris

Could be the heater valve got stuck. This valve is under the hood, if you follow the the hose that go into the car block heater. There is a blue cable connect to the valve to close or open. I changed it and fixed my low heating problem.

Sounds like a possible air lock. Trying running the vehicle without the rad cap until the rad fans turn on allowing the cooling system to burp out any air. Good luck.

2000 Honda Odyssey heating problem

Probably not going to be an easy fix.
Chances are based on your description the blend door under the dash has stuck open or closed. The blend doors are controlled by small electric motors and direct air thru the heater core and the vents. Most models have several doors.

I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey in the UK. British

Hi I'm using Google Translate.
Can you use Used parts? If so try copart.com or partsfinder.com
New brake line comes as a strait tube. The line will need the be removed and the new line bent to match.
But before you do that try one more thing. Google Tempe Honda - Tempe, AZ.

Transmission fluid/filter change in 2000 Honda Odyssey

I would not recommend using Dexron III. Honda Odysseys are prone to transmission problems. A drain and fill with Genuine Honda Fluid is Recommended. The drain plug can be removed with a 3/8 ratchet at the bottom of the trans. The fill hole is at the top of the trans. You remove it with a socket on a long extension. The capacity is close to 3 quarts

Radiator steaming

The best thing you can do is to take close look to see where this steam originates...chances are theres a leak where one of the hoses attach.

2000 expedition heat problem

first of all I would make sure the car has proper amount of coolant and you are right it is very possible you have an air pocket in the system also ask your self did you change the thermastat after you did the heater core when the car is cold make sure there is coolant at the cold mark on the reservior bottle because you might not have enough coolant then start the car and get it up to temp and if the coolant goes not go up to the hot mark when the car gets to temp you do not have enought coolant just keep adding coolant and you will see the bubble after the thermastat opens
