You may need to check your MAP sensor. It's a small electronic connector that sits on top of your PCV housing cover. The MAF sensor may need checked as well. The MAF is an electronic sensor at your throttle housing. A diagnostic test will let you know which sensor is defective. These sensors tend to be rather expensive so have a test conducted forst.

How can I reset the 1684 code on my 2001 neon?

A loose gas cap will throw a P0456 trouble code so will the gas filler neck. You can take the ground cable off of the battery for 3 minutes to reset the computer but,if that does'nt work you will need a scan tool or a code reader.

My gas cap was broken in the center so I replaced it with a new one and the tighten gas cap message went out after a couple of hours driving.

If I left my gas cap loose and service engine soon light come on, how do I make it turn off?

Getting a new gas cap and putting it on comes to mind. If that does not work, take it to a dealer or shop with a real analyzer and have them reset it for you.

2001 buick lesabre gas cap loose warning light continues to stay on after being replaced

GM vehicles are fmaous for this warning. I had the same problem in my GM vehicle and had to replace the EVAP vent solenoid. Are you getting a DTC yet or just the tighten gas cap message? INspect the fuel cap to make sure it is not damaged and is installed properly. If it's damaged replace it. If all is good on the cap just wait for the DTC to show up but most likely you'll need to replace that solenoid.

How do you nturn off loose gas cap alert?

You need a scanner to do that, but...after so many starts of the engine, if the problem is solved, the light will go away. (I seem to think it's 50 starts)

Code PO 446

ONE COMMON PROBLEM THEY HAVE IS THE GAS CAP IS LOOSE OR DOES NOT SEAL PROPERLY... THIS CODE INDICATES A LEAKS IN THE EVAP SYSTEM..BACK IN THE SEVENTIES WHEN YOU PULLED OF THE GAS CAP ON A HOT DAY IN SUMMER YOU WOULD HEAR IT HISS FROM PRESSURE.. NOW THEY REGULATE THE PRESSURE ON THE GAS TANK AND ASSY... USUALLY ONLY A POUND OR SO...TRY TO REPLACE GAS CAP WITH ONE FROM DEALER ONLY THEN RESET CODES AND SEE IF IT RETURNS.. LET ME KNOW
