Yes, I'm wondering why you think you can't? Just make sure the cables are attached correctly. Do it in this order: Positive cable connected to the 'good' battery 1st, then the other end of the positive cable to the 'dead' battery, negative cable to the 'good' battery, then the other end of the negative cable to a ground on the car with the dead battery, NOT the negative battery terminal. Most people don't know or practice this way of jumping a car, but there is a small chance that when making the final connection (neg. cable to battery of dead car) the spark that results from the final connection can ignite fumes discharged from the battery, causing an explosion. Although this may not happen, why take the chance if it is a possibility? An exploding battery with acid flying in you face is pretty scary. So make the final connection to some part of the motor that will act as a ground, just avoid putting the cable near moving parts, some motors have a 'hook' or 'eyelet' to use to pull the motor out of the car for replacement, this is an ideal ground for the final cable connection, as it is usually at the top of the motor, and easy to attach the jumper cable.

Yes you can jump your car from another car,, but use good thick jump leads and hook up the leads to the + side ( red) of the battery first then the - (black) lead to the engine block or battery! dont run your car for long with a jump battery hooked up to it,
if you need to jump start your car,,why? is your battery getting past its best??? in witch case get a new battery fitted but hook up power to the cigarette lighter before you take off your battery or you will loos the radio code and maybe the alarm settings as well,, you could also hook up power to the battery leads but thats a bit fiddle to do, any way you need to keep the car powerd up all the time the battery if unhooked

You need to recode the alarm. You have to see if it's an aftermarket or factory alarm?

SOURCE: 1998 honda crv vibrates when starting out

Increased vibration from a vehicle indicates worn out engine supports. This vibration often disappears when revving the engine high, but is very noticeable at low revs.

You can have these inspected and possibly replaced to reduce the vibration cominf from your engine.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Is Honda CRV cars four wheel drive?

Hi

The CRV is produced in both front wheel drive and four wheel drive versions. However in UK and Australia it is only available as a 4 WD as the front wheel drive option is not available in these countries.

The answer to your question therefore is that it is produced in both 2 WD and 4 WD but is dependant on what country you live in and the model variant.

Hope this helps. Please do rate my answer. Thanks.

SOURCE: 1998 Honda CRV stalls once it warms up then after

Also try the crv recall replacing the ignition mechanism where you insert the key. I have the same problem and was solved after reading about it in one blog.. it is free. It appears that it got shorted and will automatically kill the engine. after a while it will be cold again and you will be able to start the engine..

98 honda crv wil start if jump started and then later won't start

Your battery is not fully charged and may not be accepting a full charge. Remove your battery and put it on a charger overnight. Take the battery to a parts store and have them hook it up. They will then be able to tell if it is taking a full charge or not. If this is a new battery it will take a full charge but it is still getting drained by something such as a radio not shutting off automatically, if you have that option.

You need to replace your coil pack. It sounds to be over heating which results in no spark being sent and the enige dies. Very common fault and easily fixed.
