Answer is yes, Question is why? Might be as cheap to fix problem, as to wire it other way. Just be sure to fuse it. Personally if I had to do that, I would at least put a switch (illuminated) in the dash to allow me to shut it off, if running too cool. Believe it or not, Running too cool can cause problems as well, like more fuel consumption.

You can,but unadvisable, the electrical system will be under a load ,and is hard on the alternator. It will cause you to use more fuel, because the computer will think the engine has not warmed up,and it will burn rich, all the time, because the engine has never reached normal operating temp.Replace the cooling fan relay, and the coolant temp sensor, and make sure there is no air in the cooling system, and you should get the cooling fan to come on,when needed, and go off, when the engine has cooled down.

97 Chrysler.cirrus starts runs good, when you shut it off it won restart unless it sets for about an hour. Head lights, over head light, Windows ,dash light all work ,but it won't crank over.

Starter motors and solenoids often sieze when hot towards the end of their service life. You may need to replace the starter. How many times will it start in a row Without running it long enough to heat up. If it will start four or five times cold then fail after warming up and the alternator is charging the battery at 13.5- 15 volts you got a bad starter.

Sounds like the starter is continuiously running. whats the problem?

I believe this car has an electric cooling fan, It is normal for it to run after the car is turned off until it cools down, If it is the starter turning the ignition switch is worn out and sticking , This switch should be located at the lower end of the steering column. I hope this helps.

sounds like the cooling fan(s) are not working. possible a disconnected plug near radiator . my guess is the mech forgot to plug it back in. check around the radiator for any plugs that are just hanging loose . also check the fuses . there may be one for cooling fan and see if it is burned out.

Probably not water pump. Engine is notourious for vapour lock.
Cooling system must be blead of air before thermostat will work. Cool bottom rad hose is a dead give away. If you are still watching this forum reply , and I will walk you through the only way I know how to make it work properly. It's actually easy if you do it my way. I have worked on lots of cars , and this engine was the hardest to bleed out. Did one Yesterday , and works perfect.

Cooling fans

Your primary should turn on just before the car gets to running temperature. The other fan should only turn on when the A/C is running.

I had this problem along with my fuel gauge dropping to empty and back up to actual amount and tach worked sometime and didn't other times. I ended up replacing the Engine Control Unit (near positive battery terminal on firewall. If you read the codes out and they all have something to do with low voltage, this will solve the problem.
