The light is built into the heater module, it has to be replaced as a unit.

03 Chevy Trailblazer left rear taillight will not work. Brake light, back up light & turn signal all work. Right rear all work. Replaced bulbs, switched sides, still nothing.

There was a recall on this, see your local Chevrolet dealer.... Recall Date: NOV 01, 2004 Model Affected: 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer Summary: ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, VIBRATION AND HEAT MAY CAUSE THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP BULB TO LOOSEN IN ITS SOCKET. IF THIS OCCURS, THE BULB MAY FLICKER AND EVENTUALLY BECOME INOPERATIVE. Consequences: AN INOPERATIVE BRAKE LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION OF STOPPING TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES, AND AN INOPERATIVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION TO TURN TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES. BOTH OF THESE FAILURES CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP ASSEMBLIES, AND IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 22, 2004. 2003 chevrolet trailblazer 4.2 problem code p1481

See attached picture for location of temp. sensor, but that code has nothing to do with temp sensor. The speed of the fan does not agree with the commanded speed, you may have another bad fan clutch.

Just want to replace tail light on a 2003 Trail Blazer, and as I see it there 2-screws you need to unfasten before the plastic hub comes off. Is that correct.

That would be correct, then unscrew the bulb unit from the back side, I believe it's 4 small screws on the back. Pull your bulbs out and replace.

Head light bulb replacement 2003 chevy trailblazer

Simple! (I have the same model as well) Pop off the front chevy grill - it's held on with spring clips. Then look at the headlight assembly - there are 2 slide clips on either side, near the top - they have a tab that is bent forward - lift them UP. It may take a little force as they are usually stiff. The headlight assembly can then be pulled off the car, and the bulbs replaced.

One of the lights for the heat/ac unit is out

If you pull out that knob assembly that controls the drivers side heat behind it you will see little black clips that hold in the bulbs. But if you dont the bulbs are inside the controller and it will have to be disassemble to change them...

2003 trailblzer head light bulb replacement

on a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, you have to remove the grill to access the back of the head lights. It takes a good pull (don't be afraid to use a little force). Pop the hood and there 4 metal pieces that slide up and several plastic pieces that pop up. You will see the lips on the metal slides (about an inch in width) and you pull those up to loosen the grill. There are 2 of these slides (one on each far side, almost hidden) that are hard to get your hand into that you might need a screwdriver or something for leverage to slide them up. Then pop up the plastic pieces holding the headlamps in place and with a little force pull the grill off.
Then you can access the back side of the headlamps to replace the bulbs.

Replace headlight for 2005 Chev Trailblazer

59Shadow.
Thank you for sharing the information on the light bulb. You just saved me money from having to take my 2003 Trailblazer in to have the low beam bulb replaced. I did exactly what you said.
1 Open hood and lock.
2. Take filter cover off (4 screws and they stay with the filter).
3. 3 inch cover pulls off.
4. Twist light bulb 1/8 turn.
5. Unclip the wiring harness to light bulb assembly.
6. Test by turning light switch on.
7. Align assembly with light housing and turn 1/8 until it snaps in.
8. Put 3 inch cover back on.
9. Place filter cover back on and hand tight the 4 screws.
10. Close hood.
