There is no vacuum modulator to your transmission on you Jimmy. The transmission you have is electronically controlled. Going to take a guess on your problem is delayed shift points, since your asking about the Modulator. 1-2 shift does not happen at WOT until you let off the gas: Best case: try replacing the TPS. Middle case: leak in the 2nd gear apply circuit (servo assembly or 1-2 accumulator). Double check by using the pressure gauge and watch for a big drop when the PCM commands 2nd gear. Worst case: poor line pressure rise.
1-2 Shift shudder at WOT; delayed or abnormal 1-2 shift; There's a problem ONLY on the 1-2 shift: 1-2 accumulator piston cracked or stuck cocked in the bore. Check the yellow spring inside the accum housing for breakage. Also, if the accumulator housing walls are scored, the housing must be replaced. Easy fix in the pan.
1-2 shift is delayed and harsh, may not shift into OD: Check TPS for smooth and linear electrical response over the entire range of motion. If not, replace.
Soft shifting, gradual performance degradation: Poor line pressure rise due to leaking boost valve, clogged EPC filter screen, failing EPC solenoid, or worst case: leaky seals throughout. Transgo HD2-C kit fixes first two without removing trans. Seal restorer may fix last problem, but probably R&R. Also try a transmission flush with BG brand products (Firestone stocks it).

Good luck and keep me posted on what the problem is and be glad to help you get your Jimmy running 100% again soon

MY 1996 GMC JIMMY 4 WHEEL DRIVE HAS ALL OF A SUDDEN WHILE DRIVING DOWN ROAD LOST 3RD AND OVERDRIVE. HAVE A CODE PO700 WHAT CAN THE TROUBLE BE?

P0700 means EATX Controller DTC Present. That means that there is an internal fault inside of the transmission control module, so you'll need a new module.

Does a 1995 gmc jimmy 4x4 have a vacuum line that runs to the transmission?

If your transmission is automatic, it probably has a vacuum controlled modulator located on the passenger side near the front of the transmission. It is a round component witha vacuum nipple on it's end and connects to a manifold vacuum source.

I have a 1995 jimmy that my 4wd wont engage. Shifter is on the floor, i can put it into 4wd and it lights up but it wont engage

there is a few things you can check, first check for any vacuum leaks from the transmission to the top of the motor, also check to see if you are gettin oil in the vacuum lines at the transmission if you are it will be the vacuum switch, and last check your actuator that is under the battery to see if it is working.

2000 GMC Jimmy Transmission Whine

Does it sound like a loud winding sound coming from the front right side? I have a 2001 Jimmy and the 4wd tries to engage when driving up steep hills and going at highway speeds. The actuator vacuum switch engaged when the transfer case vacuum switch sends the vacuumed air to the actuator. What is happening is their is either a leak in the vacuum lines, a faulty actuator switch, or a faulty transfer case vacuum switch. When the jimmy has enough air pulling in, the extra vacuum is trying to push the actuator switch in when it is not supposed to. It is a much cheaper fix than a transmission. GMC should have recalled the whole 4wd system on any of the S10's, the JImmy's, and Blazers.
