Coil type dont often brake but give a harder ride than air types do, an air strut is like a bike pump its full of air under presher every time you hit a bump it squashes this air to ride out the bump, if the seals blow out the air strut is finished,,, its the same thing with oil shockers

How do I know if the suspension control module is bad in a 2005 lincoln navigator?

This is a very complicated and expensive system to maintain. I would strongly recommend doing a air suspension conversion on your Navigator and be done with the problem forever.

What size coil springs for 2001 lincoln navigator rear supension

That is not a question you ask on the internet,
& no one has any diagrams, unless they own the
same vehicle & have purchased factory manuals

You ask a dealer by giving the parts dept your
VIN #

If your converting from air to conventional suspension,
then you ask the parts suppliers that sell the new parts
your going to use to replace the air shocks/struts

My Lincoln Navigator air suspension went flat after we replaced all four tires, it won't air back up...please help!!!

AIR COIL SPRINGS WILL DEFLATE AND BE DAMAGED IF YOU DID NOT TURN OFF AIR SUSPENSION SYSTEM BEFORE RAISING VECHICLE AND CHANGE TIRES IF YOU DONT TURN OFF AIR SUSPENSION IT WILL CAUSE AIR SPRINGS TO OVER INFLATE CAUSE AIR SPRING SPRING DAMAGE.

I have a 2005 lincoln navigator that we just replaced the front air rie suspesion on we put it all back together and the air bags on the front and back are not filling with air what could it be

Those Navigators always have probs with the air suspension, i have seen one blow all on its own sitting in a parking lot, c if hopefully there is a recall or u could get rid of them and get regular shocks and struts which i recommend, not as great as a ride but u wont have to always worry about them.

Why is my 2005 navigator check suspension light going on in my truck

You have some type of Air Suspension System issue

You need to remove that factory system, before you spend
thousands, on diagnosing and repairing it, forever

Install aftermarket conventional shock/struts etc

The Ford version of that vehicle, is a somewhat
better vehicle.

Need to spend lots of time on internet, researching all
the vehicle problems, and there are tons, on every vehicle
made,before you buy

Forget any consumer reports.
