My 1991 Oldsmobile custom cruiser starts but dies right then did stay running never had a problem then one day it started doing this starts but dies in park and in gear so someone plz help me

Dear Chris,

If you know about automotive motor or cars, you can analyze it self what is going on your cars and if you don't know about it, for this cases there is a lot of possibility causes.

For a little hints to start the car engine, you can check .
- Check car power batteries, if you can turn the car light on or you can see the indicator light panel on dashboard with battery indicator, that mean your battery fine, if the light indicator become blink and die, that mean your battery almost die, that become the battery unable to start the engine. That's all.
For the rest problem n cause, you can go to repair car services, they can analyze all the possibility on your car.

I have a 1995 chevy silverado , my battery died while driving and my truck is stuck in third gear .what could going on ?

If the battery died while driving then it's almost certainly a bad alternator. That could also cause strange behavior with the transmission as many of them are electronically actuated but I would start with getting alternator tested and possibly replaced first. Then if you still have issues we can move on to the transmission problem.

Engine dies at junctions

On some vehicles the computer module will lose the memory it has (which was backed up by the battery) for engine operating conditions like idle and transmission shift speeds and possibly other patterns like typical driver patterns for acceleration, etc. These patterns are lost while the battery is disconnected, but after some driving time with varying driving scenarios the computer relearns the patterns and the problem is corrected. Check with a Mazda dealer to see if the 2005 is affected like this.

My car was running fine untill about a week ago. My battery started dying alot. I got the battery to hold a charge finally, but now my car is refusing to go into reverse. Its not grinding. Its just feeling...

Sounds like a problem with the gear selector itself. These can wear and cause the problems you describe. Another possibility is that something underneath the car is interfering with the action of the gear selector. I recently had a car with a broken exhaust mount. As a result he exhaust had dropped into a different position and was preventing the free movement of the gear selector underneath the car. All gears could be engaged apart from reverse - so worth investigating.
