Question about 1998 GMC Jimmy
I have a 98 jimmy 4.3liter v-6. I have changed the plug, wires and distributer, it still will not start. it turns over but doesn't start. It is getting spark and gas.
Suspect the crankshaft/camshaft sensor may be bad which controls timing of both spark and injector firing. The check engine light should be on--rent a scanner, read any codes and pursue to repairs. Hope you installed the new distributor exactly as the old one.

These trucks like the blazers are notorious for the fuel pumps going out in them, as well. So listen for the fuel pump to engage when you turn the key over. This isn't the only way to check it but its one of the easiest.
