No oil pressure on a 2001 chevy blazer

Possible blockage of the pump screen, or oil pan has been bent by hitting something and is blocking the screen, or defective oil pump.
You will have to take off the oil pan to find out exactly what the problem is. If it is a 4.3 with the cast aluminum pan, most likely a bad pump.

Oil pump replacment

Take the oil pan off, and it will be sitting there staring you in the face. Look at the replacement and see where the bolts are that hold the pump on. Remove them, take old pump out, put new one on. DO not overtighten the bolts. not a tough job, but very messy. Best to let the oil drain overnight after oil pan is removed. You will also need anew oil pan gasket

Replacing the oil pump on a 2006 kia serento

ok in order to change the oil pump u need to drop the oil pan which will be a mess and then u will have to take out the oil pump which u will be able to see once the oil pan is removed make sure u change the oil pressure switch and add the new gasket with the new oil pump and u will have to add a new gasket for the oil pan u dropped to get to the oil pump out it will not be an easy job . when u take out the pump u must check the gaps in the gears which make it possible to pump the oil u must take the plate off that covers it. if u do not know what u are doing go to ur local mechanic which will be cheaer then the dealer any day of the week.

Replace oil pump

Oil Pump is in the oil pan.. You would have to take the pan out. To get the pan out you either have to raise the motor up or remove crossmembers.

No oil presure and noisy lifters

Jack the vehicle up so you have enough room to work on the truck.
Then use an oil catcher pan,,and let the oil plug go,,drain out all of the oil,,,then remove all of the oil pan mounting bolts, leaving one on each side MIDDLE,, so the pan doesnt fall on your head.
Then carefullt remove the last two bolts while supporting the pan.
When you have the pan down, and out of the way,,you shoul dbe able to see the two oil pump mounting bolts up near the crank shaft above the pickup tube.
Remove the two bolts,,then carefully take down the oil pump.
Be sure to install the new pump and gasket correctly, and ,make sure the oil pump drive shaft (which also drives the distributor) is connecting properly.
Then re-install the oil pan,,,with a new gasket,,make sure the gasket does not slip away from the seams,,and only torque the oil pan bolts to around 14lbs per sqaure inch,,,better still check your manual to find proper torque specs.
Now,,you can fill with fresh oil, take it down off the jack stands,,and start the vehicle,(you can pull the valve cover off,,or if you can see the lifters),,make sure the oil is getting to the top end of the motor.
and then Congratulations,,you are done!!
