Drove it home, evrything fine, went out 2 hours later, will not start, engine turns over but wont start, replaced the coil pack still wont start

Make sure that you have fire and fuel. You may want to spray some ether into the air intake. If it doesn't want to start and it has fire, you may want to consider the timing chain.

It is gas related because it started. Check the fuel pump, pump fuse, relay, or reset button. Check your fuel filter. Make sure your gas lines are good and check your fuel injectors. Your problem is with the fuel, so you shouldn't have to worry about anything else, just the fuel components. Your engine is not getting gas. Check all these things and you will find your problem.

You should be able to hear the fuel pump kicking on. You can check to see if your engine is getting gas by spraying engine starter in your carb. If it fires up, it is a fuel problem. Your spark at the plugs should be a bright blue color. I have never seen an orange flash. I think you might have a fuel problem. Check all your fuses too.

Truck won't stay running

Check the fuel pressure at the Shredder Valve, You should have 60PSI to 65PSI upon start and should drop about 5PSI when running. If your fuel pressure is good then it may be a bad injector system. The fuel injector spider system that the vortec has are know to go bad, from the fuel pressure regulator to the puppet fuel valves. Change the fuel filter first if it has not been changed yet and have the fuel pressure check. Good luck and keep me posed. Note: it's been know that spraying ether to start the vortec with the spider injector system has got the puppet valves to catch fire and melt the ends of the puppet valve leading to the replacement to the whole system. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

Engine cranks but wont start

lets forget about the items you replaced. This sounds like a differnt problem;1the reason you get the gas smell is because the engine is not fireing and gas is is waiting about in the cyclenders waiting to fire: my main suspect in this case would be battery/alternator;; if your air filter is ok.? try jump starting the car if this successful then its a battery/alternator problem.hope this helps.adrian
