It could be the EVAP purge solenoid is bad and stuck open. I had the same problem on a 98 Beetle.

I have a kia rio thats giving me a hard stert it just stert for like seconds and turn off

You need a spark, Fuel, and air to make it run. if it will start period i would check to see if your getting spark (Sparkplugs) Or if you are getting fuel. May be a bad coil of plug or a dirty fuel filter.

sometime to thickness of your oil won't let the engine spin fast enough to start. could be water in the fuel line causing fuel line freeze up. adding some gas treatment should help.

Possibly blocked fuel filter, when you press the pedal it starves the engine or fuel causing it to cut out. Only a few quid for a fuel filter so I'd start there

Can not find the slave cylinder on a 1998 Kia saphia

Below the Brake Reservoir is the Clutch Reservoir. Follow the Line from the bottom of the reservoir to locate the Slave Cylinder... It is located on the Side of the Transaxle.

My car ran out of gas, and now that i put more gas in it ... it still will not start..

1st off this car is fuel injected, there is no carburetor. How much gas did you put in the tank? At least 3 gallons is required many times to get the tiny electric fuel pump to not **** air. If adding more gas doesn't get it started you may have burned out the electric fuel pump, the reason is this, the electric fuel pump that is inside the fuel tank depends on the gas it sits and runs in for cooling and lubrication, so when you run out of gas it can and may times does destroy the fuel pump many times, this is even more so true on cars with lots of miles on the pump. You can try adding more fuel and taking a rubber hammer and hitting the bottom of the tank while someone turns the engine over, this may free up the pump, if not then the pump must be replaced, this requires the fuel tank to be removed from the car to gain access to the fuel pump.

My 2003 kia sedona ran out of gas. Now after adding gas i can not get it to start. HELP

You might have a fuel pump problem after running out of gas. Fuel pumps use gasoline to stay cool, and when there is no gas they can overheat. Also, a good way to tell if your fuel pump is running, is to turn the key to the "run position" ( right before the car starts) and listen for a humming/buzzing sound coming from the fuel tank.

I have a 2004 kia optima with 52000 miles on it. After every fill up at the gas station no matter if I put 5 dollars or 20 to fill the tank up the car won't start unless I put my foot to the gas pedal and...

Two things come to mind. You broke the pressure seal to the fuel system when you took off the gas cap. The fresh gas rushing in disturbs any dirt or debris on the bottom of the tank.
Next time you use the car when you arrive at our destination, simulate what you do when you fuel up. This will mimic everythig except the new fuel rushing in. If it is still hard to start you know it's something to do with the evaporative fuel system. If not, you need the fuel tank inspected .

sounds like a bad plug wire, take a squirt bottle while the car is running then spray the wires down they should start arcing, also when you replaced the fuel pump did you replace the fuel filter
