Question about 2001 Dodge Stratus
Where is the Radio amp fuse on 2001 Dodge Stratus RT . I went into the store and when i came back out and started the car all that comes out of radio is static now. It shows the radio stations but no music all static.I have checked both of the radio fuses and they are ok. The one inside the car and the one under the hood. Where is the Radio amp fuse located. I cant find anything in my handbook that shows radio amp fuse.

i have a similar problem with my stratus except mine is a 95'. I haven't fully figured the problem out but i have been told to check all of the grounded wires you have hooked to your car.

should be under the car... possibly under the front driver or passenger side seat locations... but under the car not under the seat.

COULD BE LOSS OF ALL TRASMISSION FLUID, BROKEN HOSE, BLOWN PUMP,BURNT TRANSMISSION RINGS( HOW DID THE TRANNY OIL SMELL?) BURNT TRANNY FLUID OR A COMBINATION OF ANY OF THE ABOVE. IF IT JUST QUIT, YOU PROBABLY HAVE A SERIOUS PROBLEM THAT WILL REQUIRE A REBUILD OR A SALVAGE TRANSMISSION FROM A LOCAL WRECKING YARD. THE LATTER BEING THE CHEAPEST AND AT TIMES THE BETTER DEAL ALL AROUND, TIME WISE AND MONEY. VERSUS A REBUILD THAT REQUIRES NEW PARTS, BANDS, PUMP, SEALS AND ON AND ON PLUS HOURS OF LABOR TO FIX EQUALS ONE BIG BIG BILL!BEING A 2001 A TRANNY FROM A WRECKING YARD ISN'T GOING TO HAVE THAT MANY MILES ON IT EITHER SO YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO FIND SOME PRETTY DECENT ONES. THAT'S THE ROUTE I'D GO, BUT YOU'RE FREE TO CHOOSE EITHER CHOICE. I DON'T ENDORSE OR CONDEMN EITHER ONE, JUST POINT OUT THE GOOG AND THE WEAK IN EACH FOR YOU TO DECIDE! GOOD LUCK!
