Yes clutch is done and the pressure plate could have gone too... these have a dual plate design and mine just went and took out the splines on the clutch disk. this dual mass flywheel cost me $700+ca. plus the clutch and labour! best of luck.

NO! had this happen to me...

Its the clutch master cylinder or slave. part costs £50 will take no longer than an hour to fit! try pulling the pedal back up as it should still work for a while.

Clutch pedal snaps all the way to the floor

Your car has a hydraulically operated clutch release system, it has failed, see a local shop to repair it, cost is about $500.00

2000 jeep wrangler clutch has to pressure and thus wont allow me to put it in gear.

Check the clutch fluid level. If it's low, add some (takes brake fluid). There is a bleed valve down on the clutch slave cylinder on the bellhousing. Open the bleed valve and have someone push the clutch pedal slowly to floor, and hold. Close the bleed valve, and repeat until fluid comes out in a steady stream when the pedal is depressed. Your pedal should have pressure now, and the clutch should be working.
If no fluid is forced out the clutch master cylinder, into the line, and to the slave cylinder when clutch is pressed, then you may have a bad clutch master cylinder. If fluid does come out the bleed valve, but still no pressure on the pedal, it may be a bad slave cylinder.
Post back for more. Would like to know what you find out, and what the problem was, OB. Good luck.

The clutch pedal seems to be very flopy and is not going into gear easily

Can be broken spring on the cluch pedal in side the car, that hold the pedal all the way back for full amount of brake fluid to the slave cylender, can be checked by pulling the pedal all the way up before steping it to the floor and putting in to gear or just look up under the daschbord on the pedal. Can allso be to little brake fluid in container. To check the master cylender rubber, step on the pedal putt in gear with engine running and wait with pedal all the way to the floor, if the rubber is gone the car wil start to go after some time (1/2-1 min or less) To check the slave cylender rubber will be dune the same way and working same way but it will be leaking out and on the floor.

2001 Suzuki vitara clutch pedal went to the floor and wont come back up. It's like its stuck in perpetual neutral. Slave gear? Where is it.

Check the fluid level on the clutch master in the engine compartment. The clutch slave is located down on the bottom by your transmission.

you mean the clutch pedal? when asking questions it helps to tell which engine, trans, 4wd, 2wd, which pedal, what you have checked, ect......... ck the clutch fluid level ,you will need to replace the clutch master and slave cylinder, the trans will have to come out.

Clutch wont work

Check and make sure you have fluid in the clutch master cylinder. If it is low fill and check for leaks. Repair leaks as needed and bleed system. If fluid was full check adjustment and bleed system, if there is air in the system pedal will go to the floor.

Clutch Pedal Very Soft

Air in the system. The shave is between the engine and trans and even a small leak won't show up. Look in the rubber piece on trans with a light and see if you see any fluid. If you see any then the slave is starting to fail.
