2002 MERCURY GRAN MARQUIS NO LOW AC BLOWER

More often than not, the Blower Motor Resistor would be at fault. It controls the speed of the Blower Motor by varying its speed revolutions. The Blower Motor Resistor is located under the hood under the heater hoses. You can purchase one from E-bay, Amazon, or check your local Auto Parts store(try to get the best price). To get an idea of where the Blower Motor Resistor is situated and what it would take to replace it, go to www.youtube.com. Type ......how to replace blower motor resistor ford crown vic.... and the video will pop up. There should be another video under it with the caption.....2003 ford crown
Victoria blower motor resistor swap... Watch both videos as they contain two different approaches in replacing the unit.

I need to change this part so my fan starts to work. How should I do?

It's a blower motor resistor out of a 2002 or newer grand marquis/crown Victoria and some Lincoln models. On the early crown Vic's that this fits the resistor is on the passenger side of the engine compartment kind of behind the heater hoses. First you need to remove the vapor management valve. Then remove the heater hoses. You can then unplug the connector for the blower resistor and remove the screws.

Locate resistor on 01 crown vic

The resistor should be under the heater hoses on the firewall.
The hoses may have to be removed to access the part.
There are videos on YouTube.

If you have eatc and the blower stays on with the system off. It is your blower speed controller. It's located under the hood in the evap. case under the heater hoses. Follow the wiring from over the hoses.
