What was wrong with the connector? if it was melted, it would be caused by high amperage draw and the motor may be bad.

You may have accidently pulled one of the connectors out of one of the multiplugs when rewiring the window switch. It will be a case of checking every connection again. Also check the fusebox , there may have been a short which blew one of the fuses when you were rewiring.

No heat or ac

Depending on the year , make , and model you have, most HVAC systems have a blower motor fan resister, usually located near the blower motor, check for power and ground at the fan resistor plug connector and make sure all connectors are in good shape, and not melted, or you will have to replace the fan resister pig tail as well.

Sounds like a connector has a bad terminal or socket. It has high resistance and gets hot enough to melt things in a short time.
AC Delco makes the contacts out of plated steel. Sometimes in the AC system, some condensation collects and rusts the contacts in the connector, causing high resistance and over heating.

The blower motor on AC stops and starts running

Check for a melted connector at the blower motor. This is a common issue on GM products-the connector gets a little resistance, which causes heat buildup, which causes more resistance, until it quits altogether. There is an updated motor and connector, but you can probably rig it with regular female quick disconnects,or try to find replacement connector terminals at a good auto part store.(If you aren't replacing the motor, use an emory board or small file to clean the motor terminals,so the new connector will make better contact.)

Ac / fan problem

there is a blower motor resister and each speed uses a part of the resister and the connectors over heat so unplug it and inspect for melting you might need both a resister and the connector

Blower motor now only works in 5th speed, 1 to 4 not working

You are going to have to make a connector for your resistor to fit into the adapater under the dash. the new resistor doesnt reach the terminals on the connector. Even though it clips in place it doesnt reach. I took a piece of small soldier and put in the connector then plugged it in and it worked just fine. When you unplug the relay it will not work in any speed.

i had some similar problems after i installed my aftermarket radio and i had to go back and rewire it and now the dash works fine. you might want to double check your wireing. i know wiring a stareo is simple but after rewiring i didnt have any more problems with dash lights
