Question about Ford Econoline Cargo
If track turns off completely, then there may be an electrical problem.
Check battery grounding to the engine and all wiring.
If instead the engine starts revving down and then stop, then it may be a problem with injectors or fuel pump that will happen only occasionally.
This is often caused by wiring problems.
The difficulty with problems that are not always happening, like this one, is that they are difficult to troubleshoot.
I suggest connecting the car to a machine that can draw the waveform of injectors and fuel pump.
Test also the vacuum for leaks that sometimes are difficult to find. A vacuum leak can cause the engine shutting down, particularly when idling.
I also assume that you already did an ECM scan to find error codes. If you have not done it already, go to the nearest Autozone and have it done for free
