Question about 2000 Dodge Intrepid

When i turn my radio on there is a buzzing noise in the left speakers with no sound the right ones work fine this just happened all of a sudden what could be the problem?

    i have and everything is still connected properly there are no loose wire or do they have cracks to short one out i have also changed the radio and still the same problem occurs

Sounds like you have a short, one of the wires may have come loose and has grounded out. You'll have to use a process of elimination to find it.

Why does my radio not work


If the radio is turning on but no sound.

!. The wires behind the radio for the speakers are lose
2. If they are on a wire harness make sure the wire harness is plugged in right. " you might have to unplug and re-plug it back in
3. The best way to check you speakers is use a 9v battery. Un Plug them from behind the radio touch the positive side of the battery. You should get a little noise.
4. If you have a electrical meter you can check each of the wires coming out of the radio make sure you have it on the DC volts to check everything. " making sure you have power coming out of each speaker wire from the radio." Hope this helps out

With the radio on, make sure there is voltage at the speaker wire positive and negative leads. If there is no voltage, the output from your receiver might have gone out.

the sound is the generater's ac power and the rectifier that filters the ac to dc in the radio is starting to fail or a filter inside the radio is failing to filter out the ac power
