Question about 1999 Honda Odyssey
I just had the transmission rebuilt by a local guy for $1000. he has it back in but now it wont shift automatically. Threw a code 4 (?) maybe it means D4. Anyways the prognosis is that the pressure solenoid (the one that looks like two pack of cards with two 1/2 quarter rolls attached) that is bad. It was "working" before the rebuild as the car ran, shifted (really hard into 2nd gear) but it did shift all the way up down. He cleaned the solenoid thinking it would be a good idea and then after reinstall the car has to be shifted manually. But it shifts smoothly when doing that. Is it possible the part was wet and just needs to dryout or needs to be blown out (air)? I'd rather not have to buy a $250 part. thanks
If what your saying is that after you take it from the shop this started happening then he needs to replace this for you. The reason you had the transmission rebuilt was to make sure everything work properly he was also suppose to check the pressure which i mean by doing a series of test to make sure everything was working and to conclude what was wrong so this way he know what to change long story short you didn't get your transmission rebuilt properly they need to return your money or pay for this part yet again i think you was being ripped off by the rebuilt shop.good luck
