If you are afraid that running air conditioning after a long trip causing over heat then have pressure test. Taking a long time to start happens due to 2 problems: 1- The cold start valve is not operating. This due to a problem with the coolant temperature sensor bad or a cold start valve itself. 2- Poor compress pressure from each cylinders due to a leakage in the heat gasket as a result from overheating due to inefficient cooling. I would recommend a thorough throttle body and injector cleaning. If you have 70K plus miles on the vehicle, combustion deposits build up on the back side of the throttle body and plate as well as the ends of the fuel injectors. When the build up is sufficient enough it will block the area of the throttle body blade that allows air into the engine for starting.
The deposits also build up on the injector tips and distort the fuel spray pattern that will cause a delayed starting problem.
Have them both cleaned along with a fuel filter change and your car will be back to normal.
Good luck.

Sounds like the heater - ac door actuator is not working. This part would need to be replaced, it's not repairable.

No heat just changed thermostat 2005 nissan sentra

sounds like you did not refill the system properly. right above the thermostat housing is a single screw with copper washer. you need to take this screw out before re-filling cooling system. that screw allows air to escape from the engine while re-filling coolant. you have an air pocket in system.

Nissan sentra n16 temp. overheating

If all of the things you replaced are working fine I am going to say double check the thermostat. Also make sure your fan is engaging at temp. You cam check by running till warm and then running the AC. If the car does not overheat with the AC on then your fan is not running under normal conditions (with AC off) This can be caused by a couple of different things depending on how the fan is set up. most likely a thermostat because the pressure on the a\c will be high if engine is over heating or the fans are not kicking on (check fan relay)
