You have to check the hoses, they could be cracked and when switching tanks your pump may be just sucking air.

Could a weak battery cause Throttle position switch sensor error code - after 1 hr drive engine lite on and gas pedal quits, restart car, repeats about 30 min later

no it will not. if the engine light is on check for codes this will help to know which direction to start diagnosing. a weak battery will usually show up on a no start condition. I am guessing the engine light that comes on is the check engine one.

2000 ford crown Victoria, was running fine, turned it off then wanted to restart it restarted but when pushing on accelator the engine died and now it will not start at all.

when you turn the key to the on position listen for the fuel pump to run for about 2 seconds (in the fuel tank) if you don't hear it check the inertia switch to see if it is tripped (you will have to look in owners manual for location)

Dash gas gauge stops showing proper gas level once it hits half a tank. Then gauge will fluctuate between empty (light will come on), full and anywhere in between but seems fine from full tank to half

If the trouble with the gauge started after you worked on it then you likely damaged or created a restriction to the movement of the sending unit. You will have to remove the tank and double-check your work.

My check engine light came on shortly after filling my gas tank. I did put more gas in the tank after the gas pump clicked that it was full. what could be the problem

If your check engine light came on shortly during or after filling the tank, and then goes off later, thats quite a relief. It really happens, and lucky for you dont have to bring your vehicle to a shop if the light persisted. Here are some tips regarding this issue: turn off the ignition switch before opening the fuel tank cap. Turn on and start only after the caps are properly closed. The scenario is that, whenever we refill gasoline on the tank, the pressure and the vacuum inside the tank are being upset, sometimes creating some kind of signal glitch which may be misinterpreted by the engine control module, and thus shortly illuminate the check engine light. I hope this lightened you up. Have a safe trip. : )

I shut the engine off. tried restarting, failed to do so, seems like not getting fuel. Is there a fuse for the fuel pump. It was on empty and I did add 1.5 ga gas

When you shut the engine off then it was not out of gas and there is a fuel fuse in the fuse panel and a fuse relay in the engine compartment. The fuse and relay box is always near the battery. It sounds like by the information I gathered so far is the fuel pump was sucking most of bottom gas which is always dirty gas and probably plugged the fuel filter. Make sure the to have someone listen if the fuel pump works by listening under the fuel tank while the ignition is turned on but not the starter.
1. Listen for a humming noise near the tank while someone turns the key on.
2. If the fuel pump makes is on then its your fuel filter.
3. If no sound then its your fuel pump. Start with the fuses then your relays and if they are all in working then its time to change your fuel pump.
( note: sometimes its just the way the car is sitting and tilting where all the fuel is unreachable for the pump and you might have to put more gas.) Hope this works. Cam

Car won't stay running

When cars sit around for a while gas goes old quite quickly and it will start to turn to this gummy varnish like substance that stinks something terrible. I would suggest first starting with draining all of the gas out of the tank or if the fuel filter is back by the fuel tank you can just remove the filter and drain the tank at the same time. But definitely replace the fuel filter. When you do this and you smell the gas and it smells unusually different than normal, then you can pretty much guess that the problem is the bad gas. Running some good quality gas treatment through the tank for a couple of fill ups should take care of the problem. If that is not the problem I would check all your engine vacuum lines and make sure none of them are cracked or disconnected because that will cause an engine to not idle. Good luck

Air conditioning seems always on

you have a bad a|c switch and far as gas consumption goes the answer is yes, because if the a|c is always on then there is a constant load on the engine
