Question about 2001 Chevrolet S-10
Not all radiators have drain plugs as stated in the books but all you need to do is to take off the bottom hose from the radiator and let out all the contents ,,but it wont compleatly drain the engine of water,, but if your going to refill with Antifreeze then just add extra strenth antifreeze
and check all hose clips for tightness and turn on the heater to hot when draining water from radiator, and top up antifreeze when refilled
after running for 12 minutes. RON

The professional method is to loosen the lower radiator clamp and drop to lower radiator hose.
Drain the coolant onto a large drain pan and recycle the coolant
I just did a FREE write up on air purge from coolant system and how to detect initial state of blown head gasket at the Fixya tip selection.

depends on what motor you have, it'll either be on the bottom of radiator (you might have to move the cover to get at it) or in the rear of the engine block. if you get at them i'd simply just remove the lower hose from the radiator. just make sure car is compleatly cooled down first.

I have a 99 Astro & my drain plug is on the passenger side. Look for the small drain tube at the bottom of the plastic tank. The turn knob is right above it.
