Question about 1996 Buick Regal Olympic Gold
Most likely the cold start valve is the problem.
If there is a fuel pump problem or dirty throttle body, it would not run like pa champ once it started.
There are 2 possible causes of this problem:
1- Coolant temperature sensor gives erratic resistance readings confusing the ECM. The cold start valve only activates when ECM gets signal from coolant temperature sensor at cranking. 2- If there is a signal to activate, but it didn't open since the cold start valve is bad. Check these out and replace them to address the problem. Good luck.
