SOURCE: rear door speakers

It's worse than that. Those are not "tamper-proof screws", those are aluminum pop rivets. (Then again, they are even more tamper-proof than screws.) Once you get the door panel off you will see that each rivet splits into four legs that splay out to hold the speaker frame sandwiched between the grill and the fiberboard door panel. You can remove them but it took me some time with stout needle-nosed pliers to un-splay the legs, and ultimately a Dremel tool to cut them off. What a cheap PITA way to attach a speaker.

Theoretically, you should be able to replace the OEM speaker with a skinny 4" one but you will need to fabricate an adapter ring so there is something solid on which to mount the new speaker. Also, you will need to tape flat Tinnerman nuts to the back side of the panel so the screws you shoot through the grill will have something to bite into. It won't be pretty but it should work.

SOURCE: hood latch won't release hood. 91 volvo 240.

probably a overstretched cable pull, or defective latch, i had the same problem with my truck. pull hood relese a couple times, and go to hood, give it a love tap with your fist abouve the latch ontop of the hood, if that dont work, you will have to go underneath your volvo and release it by hand with a screwdriver, try and lift the latch over the catch

The fuel pump is located in the fuel tank beneath the back seat which you can reach by removing the back seat.

MY 1991 VOLVO 240 WILL START,RUN FOR ABOUT 15 SECONDS, AND QUIT. AFTER THAT IT WILL TURN OVER, BUT WILL NOT START UNTIL IT SITS FOR A FEW MINUTES. THEN THE PROCESS REPEATS.ANY THOUGHTS ON MY PROBLEM?

Try replacing the fuel filter and locate the fuel pressure regulator it should be located on the top of the motor at the area where the beginning fuel rail is, ( the fuel rail feeds the fuel injectors) if you notice the the pressure regulators vacuum hose is broken replace also if the pressure regulator appears to be wet with gas replace it. The fuel pump may be bad check for appropriate pressure at access valve on fuel rail it should be a minimum of 30 psi fuel pressure.

1991 Volvo 240 bucks like a bronco and doesn't want to start.

I had the same problem w/ my 1979 242 GT.....Try looking at the fuel pump inside the gas tank (go in from the top under the mat in the trunk).....I had a broken hose that was connecting the fuel line from the in-tank fuel pump....or try cleaning or replacing the filter sock located there too & make sure the filter sock is at its proper height ! and check on the fuel pump itself....My bucking problem was more noticeable when the fuel level was low.

Try the headlight relay. It is behind the kick panel directly in front of the driver. It might be shorting on the wiper relay which is in the same location.

Where is the fuel pump located on a "91" volvo 240?

The Volvo 240 has 2 fuel pumps one is a low pressure pick-up pump and is in the gas tank, the other is a high pressure booster pump required for fuel injection. The booster pump is under the car just beneath the left rear passenger seat.
