use alcohol based aerosol spray and spray it right at the key such a way that the spray enters into the mechanicsum.then try to pull out the key, then lubricate it with low viscous oil then lubricate with two three drops of your cars engine oil.

Make sure your vehicle is in park. if the dash indicator says that it is, check the transmition linkage and make sure it is shifting the transmition lever into park. Good Luck

The battery in my 1998 Honda CRV works fine. Had a problem with the key sticking, now the key turns in the ignition but won't catch to start the car. Not sure what to do

Sounds like the ignition switch is worn out(or the linkage from the lock cylinder to the switch has come loose or something like that)

Key is stuck in ignition but still turns the car on and off

Sounds like the lock for the shifter or the steering wheel is not working right. You may have to disassemble part of the column to check the locks.

Key gets stuck in ignition

The ignition parts are probably wearing out. You will eventually probably need a new ignition. Where the key goes in, not the ignition system.

I have a Honda 1998 V6. i just had a gear box change. now i am experiencing ignition key stuck problems that i never had. sometimes my key gets stuck and i simply push the stick to nuetral and park and it...

There is a recall on 1998-2002 Accords regarding defective ignition key mechanicals. Try jiggling the transmission shifter on park, while trying to extract the key, to make sure the shifter sensor (park) is allowing the key to be retrieved. For what i have read, the recall failure works the other way, it allows the key to be taken out on any gear, engine on or off !!.

I have a 98 Honda Accord my key is stuck in the ignition but the the car still start. I can not get the key out in suggestion

Ensure you're pushing the gear selector all the way forward....You may have to take it to a shop to have the ignition switch removed. Or if you have another key, just leave it in and use the other key to unlock the doors, etc....depends on what your budget allows.

He may have locked up the pin sequence. You might need to buy a new switch not that exspensive. Stay away from the dealership or it will be.
