Change your o2 sensor and do a tune up. The o2 sensor is locate before the catalytic convertor on the exhaust system it's job is to tell the computer to add and reduce fuel with age it response is very slow which make you burned extra gas. Get it from the dealer.

Very often, sharply reduced mpg is caused by clogged or clogging fuel injectors. There are other possibilities, of course, but I would start by getting a good add-to-the-gas injector cleaner to see if that will make a difference. If it does (after a few days of running with it in the tank), you might consider having the injectors cleaned (many shops can do it without removing them from the car) more thoroughly.
Hope this is helpful.

Injectors can also leak, but you would probably have a slight gasoline odor (especially when starting) if that were the case.

IM JUST WONDERING HOW HARD IT IS TO REPLACE THE ALTERNATOR IN MY 1995 HONDA ACCORD EX 4 CYLINDER VTEC

Hi, you have to remove the power steering pump to get the alternator out. Please let me know if you have questions, and thanks for using FixYa.

1994-95 Accord

See Figure 4
EXCEPT V-6 MODELS
  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable, then the positive cable.
Remove the power steering pump.
  • Drain the fluid from the system as follows:
    1. Disconnect the pump return hose from the reservoir and place the end in a large container. Plug the port in the reservoir.
    2. Start the engine and allow it to run at fast idle. Turn the steering wheel from lock-to-lock several times, until fluid stops running from the hose. Shut off the engine immediately; don't run the pump without fluid.
    3. Reattach the hose.

  • Disconnect the inlet and outlet hoses at the pump. Remove the drive belt.
  • Remove the mounting bolts/nuts and remove the pump.

    2. Install the adjustment bolt and nut.
    3. Install the belt and adjust the tension. Tighten the locknut to 16 ft. lbs. (22 Nm).
    4. Connect the wire to the terminal and tighten the nut.
    5. Engage the multi-pin connector to the alternator.
    6. Install the power steering pump.

Just bought a 1994 honda accord ex 4dr. Both front windows are having problems going back up. Right now, the driver window is down and I can't get it back up. When I push the switch, it makes a clicking...

Those Accords are notorious for bad window regulators. Have the regulators in the front doors checked out first, before trying to change anything else.

Do you normally accelerate quickly from stopped? You can increase your cars mileage by cutting down on rapid starts and stops. A comparable Honda Accord Hybrid rated at a higher 25city 37 hwy MPG rating achieves less than 22mpg when driven HARD

1994 Honda Accord Ex dashboard removal

You have to remove the console and radio pod. Then remove 2 screws that you can now get to behind the pod. Then pry out the dash light dimmer switch (the one you use to adjust dash light brightness) remove the screw behind it that holds in the gage cluster trim. Then there is another switch on the other side under the cluster (don't remember what it is) and there is another screw behind it. Have fun, LOL!
