It may need a blower motor rezistor, located under the hood towards the firewall, un screw the cover (large) and you will see it under the intake air filter, it has several wires running to it and has a small box that is mounted next to the blower motor

A/c and heat dash vents won't work but all others are fine

check the actuator motor on the heater sounds like the motor is not directing the air as it should. The motor is in the center of the truck inside attached to the heater and has arms on it to move the heater and ac doors.

Heater blower motor.,Highspeed only works..problem??

9 out of 10 times its the heater fan resistor doing this. it has wires that corresponed to diffreent speed settings for heater fan. the resistor is beside the blower motor, Your Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor controls the heating equipment in the vehicle by opening and closing the fan motor. The Kia Sportage Blower Motor Resistor allows the heating and climate control system to control the speed of the vehicle's cooling fan. its under the passenger side glove box. undo 2 screws and disconnect the electrical connector. thats it!!

Question:If the 30 A. fuse on a 2002 focus dash blower motor is good, and the thermal resistor is replaced, then it must be a faulty speed switch?

Don't know where you got your info . The heater blower motor electrical B+ power comes from Fuse F 64 a 40 amp fuse . This goes right to the blower motor on the green with orange stripe wire , The black with red stripe wire goes to the switch for high speed . There is Splice 24 that ties into the black with red stripe wire. The splice 24 turns into a black with orange stripe wire . An this wire goes to the blower motor resistor . All the switch does is route the B+ voltage through the different resistors to ground .

Thermal resistor "usually" stops working is because of faulty fan speed switch ???? Totally not true , resistor assemblies fail because of the heat associated with dropping voltage across the resistors , That is why they put the resistor assembly in the air box . Air blows over to cool the resistors . The switch is nothing more then a way to direct different speeds to ground .

Rather then listening to other people ,why not learn the right way to test electrical circuits .
Electric Testing Techniques You Need to Know

Do you know what a wiring diagram is ?
http://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicle info . Under system click on HVAC , under subsystem click on heater . Click the search button , then on the link . Use a volt meter an test , don't guess !

1998 buick lesabre the blower motor keeps running after car is turned off

if you are talking about the engine electric cooling fan..it will run after car is turned off until temp goes down then it shut off..unless you're talking about the heater blower motor..then i would look in the engine compartment passenger side firewall for the heater box ..on the box there is speed control resistor for the heater fan speed..that might be shorted.if not fan switch on dash..give more info next time..it makes it easier answer with more info

A/C Heater blower fan does not cycle through all speeds

Yes it is the blower Motors Resistor board. It is up behind the blower motor, just under the glove box. You have to remove the black KICK panel with its two "Push Pins" that will break too. There are 3 screws holding that resistor board in, the back two are a bear to get to. Good luck.

Heater fan is making noise. Sounds like motor bearings

This may or may not help you.If the sound you hear is a constant whirring/grinding sound it may be the fan motor. If the fan takes a few seconds longer to speed up when you increase the speed it could still be the fan.If the sounds you hear are clicking sounds and they get quicker or slower as you play with the fan,it may well be leaves or junk in the fan housing. Its a common thing.Hope this helps you either way

Heater fan motor

The fan motor can be checked by using jumper wires. remove the wiring connector from the fan.Run the positive wire from the battery to the positive on the fan and the ground to ground. It should turn smoothly and at normal speed at 12 volts. If it is slow and noisy, the bearings making the noise. This indicates the motor is bad.
